So TS is now the same as direct and VON is the same as group?

What happens if we change the direct/group/side setting for VON now? Anything? Nothing?

For all intents and purposes, nothing. You can still use it for text chat but it's no longer connected to your VON key.

VON is no longer anything, it is all through TS now, the only thing that has anything like VON is direct speak(default TS push to talk), which again I'm not sure how it works but it uses TS to do the same thing Direct VON used to do.

Everything is TS

VON is still there, and still works, as does the normal chat system, but it does not interact with TFAR at all. And our intent is to not use VON for anything.

whilst not technically correct, an easy way to remember which radio to use is

Normal TS push to talk = direct VON channel and vehicle VON channel (when in a vehicle)
Shortwave radio = Group VON channel
Longwave radio = Command VON channel

As i said, not technically correct in terms of how the module itself works exactly, but its a K.I.S.S. way of remembering it
