Here's mine, http://www.twitch.tv/mudcatsims

Just got a boost in internet speed last week, so going to start using it again, and in another few weeks the speeds gonna get kicked up again. So, with that, will stream mostly combat flight sims, along with the occasion driving one. Closest I'll get to WoW or FF is DTG Fishing :P

I've got one but almost never broadcast to it now because they changed the way your videos are saved (ie they are not saved anymore). So I switched over to streaming on youtube because with one button press you can upload the video straight to your youtube channel.

my old twitch channel sits unused now. http://www.twitch.tv/masterjts

Had a few thousand subscribers a few years ago on my youtube channel but... then I stopped posting videos and they all unsubscribed.

When did they change the way they are saved? I was streaming there a few months ago, but haven't lately.

Here's mine. I want to start streaming again but my gaming time is really all over the place right now.

edit: just looked and theres just a checkbox to archive your videos. Then you can edit and export to youtube from the site.

The archive only saves them 14 days then they are gone.

http://blog.twitch.tv/2014/08/update-changes-to-vods-on-twitch/

They said that they would save all previous videos etc and you can save highlight reels indefinitely but if you look at my twitch channel you wont see any videos saved because... they didnt save any of them.

I haven't streamed too much recently but I've started doing it a little more the past week or so.

I'll stream everything from flights on VATSIM to games of Worms.

That is how I am. I still stream or youtube just about anything these days. Which has resulted in me losing almost all of my subscribers from when I was only doing flight sims. But ah well...

Finally got that upgrade 235 mb/s dl and 23.5 ul, guess I'll have no excuse not to stream now, you know other than it not working for some reason, like when I tried to broadcast the pCars race... Anyway looks like I got some work to do.

So what exactly is the allure of a Twitch Channel? I personally wouldn't find it interesting to be watching a streaming video of someone else gaming.

Just off the top of my head, I probably could think of more later.

1. Sometimes dev's will do previews of what's coming and show it off live. Yes you can always watch a youtube video of it, but depending on who is showing what, you can at least interact with the guys showing things off. For instance, one game I follow/play will do previews of their upcoming patches a few days beforehand. So you get the sneak peek, but also they take questions from people watching as well and will answer them. So it's at least a real time reaction/answer. This is personally my main reason for tuning in on twitch.

2. Maybe you are thinking about purchasing a certain game. Why read a review when you can just watch someone play it and decide for yourself. Yes, you could say, well you can just watch a video on Youtube, but it is a different experience. There's no showing an amazing bit of gameplay then cutting the bit where you derp your plane into the ground 20 seconds later. You can tailor a video in certain ways to make something like even better/worse than they really might be, where as on Twitch it's live, good, bad, boring, whatever, it's there, so in a way it's more of what you are likely to experience playing the game.

3. It's like a virtual couch. Before everything was online, I think a good number of us could remember going to a friends house to play games. Sometimes that consisted of just sitting and watching someone else play, maybe you were a younger sibling who never got a turn. Anyway, some folks enjoy watching someone else play games. In reality, is watching someone else play video games really all that different than watching someone else in a sporting event? I'm not arguing video games as sports here, just saying, when you break it down, the act of watching someone else do something is the same, you're not playing, just watching, etc.

I will say this though, it's certainly not for everyone and I do think that some game genre's are better suited than others to watch over twitch. Guess it just depends on what you're looking for and what you like.
