That dog was old anyway. wink

Don't take it too hard Winder. Sounds like most of it is just texture shader issues for ATI cards and AnKors on it. It'll all be sorted out in no time. Brilliant patch sir.

Winder, I hope your dog did not really die, but if so, my honest condolences.

It must be dragging devs really down, when the first reactions on a new game
or a patch for it are mostly negative.
I hope it will be able to solve any problems with the graphics; then there
should be many positive reactions, cause what I saw in screenshots looks so
stunning! Didn't have the time yet to try it out - later today I will do so.

I run ATI 7870 and the shaders work fine. I think the problem is only with some people running ATI and not all!

I have an ATI also with no problems. In fact, I have mission, weather, and other custom mods as well as a tweaked ui and simulation.xml file loaded on top of v2.06. Just a while ago, JSGME threw errors all over the place when I tried to load up my recent MOD, but WOFF ran fine when I removed it and installed the MOD directly into the folder.

Nah, I haven't read anything negative. In fact only extremely positive reactions, besides some few where the shaders don't work, yet. I'm sure this is solved very quickly (or already is if i read Pol's comment in another thread correctly). I'm sure all will be great for everybody soon

Actually there so many of them available now that I don't have time to play even half of the ones that I own! I blame WOFF for consuming the most of my play time. smile

However, flight sim development is not the best business for making money. That is obvious. Millions of people will buy and play the next Call of Duty; that will not happen with a flight sim release, no matter how good it is. Niche market is niche market.

Creaghorn is correct, I've only seen one negative comment and that has already been fixed.

Winder... comon' are you pulling my chain, or did you really loose your dog? If you did, man I am deeply sorry... they're given the title "Man's best friend" for a reason. All the best to you...

I expressed myself wrong.
What I meant was a general situation of incoming negative posts - not the reaction on this particular patch.
Still: any negativism must be frustrating after some hard labour to improve things.

I have just made a first short sortie, and it seems to me, that there are several improvements
and changes which I will only slowly discover; like the new Flak puffs, or the visuals and sound
of my own machine guns, which I find much improved now.

Great job done again, OBD! thumbsup

looks to me like WM is having a bit of a moan about some negative comments posted on here regarding the release of the latest patch????,or maybe about people posting with different ideas about what is right or wrong with some aspects of WOFF.At the end of the day i know this is Winders baby, along with Pols,Rex hannovers,Shredwards,Sandbaggers,OvStachels and a few others,I can perfectly understand that you guys (Coders,Modellers,Artists,Skinners) must at times get a bit peed off with some comments and posts on here, but i think you need to have a thick skin and just take a bit of criticism (constructive or otherwise) on the chin. Please WM dont take it personally,i dont believe that anyone as meant it that way.Anyway i hope thats what Winding Man means and BTW great patch so looking forward to balance of power Cheers thumbsup

Seems to me like everything about the new patch has been most positive.
And thanks for the heads up on the gun sounds Creaghorn.
Guess I'll back Andy73 Sound mod out for a mission or two and check them out.

WM -- installed 2.06, and still haven't had women throw themselves at me. Totally your fault.

Seriously, brilliant work and outstanding support. Can't say thanks enough and I'm far from alone here.
