"Je vous tou tout" "I'll kill you all",the skulls are a reminescence of Cpt. Fulco Ruffo di Calabria,Italian Ace of WWI. He had the skulls in his planes in variuos positions during the war, ended up with 20 confirmed and survived the war. His Spad VII from the Italian Air Force Museum.
"I'll kill you all" is better translated by "Je vous tue tous" or "Je vous tuerai tous" And yes, Ruffo di Calabria had a nice SPAD, but the black tail with skull, remind me of the 19th KAO planes: I am planning a visit along this Summer sometime to the Museum, and I will take some pictures to post over here, there are a lot of interesting planes.
Two years ago, I participated with ROF french and italian community to the production of a little film about the Battle of Istrana. The film was presented next to an Hanriot in the museum (although, in the film we had to use Pups, as ROF didn't have Hanriot at the time), I wonder if it is still there? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xef2zVz7G6Q "Je vous tue tous" Got it,I made a spelling error And yes the tail skull idea is taken from that plane scheme as well,I made a mixup for my Spad.About the Hanriot it's still there of course,a lot of Italian aces used that one in 1916/7 it was built here under licence and it was a very good plane loved by its pilots, they preferred it over the various Nieuports.Pity it's not modelled into WOFF...yet.A good WOFF expansion relative to the Italian front would be soooo good!!!

Nice looking skin!
Just another thing I need to learn how to do and it sure looks fun. Just take a look Here in the first page there are a number of starting tutorials about skinning,it's BIG fun! In the meantime, when you start flying WOFF,as soon as you reach 5 victories and if you are not yet into skinning,I can make one for your aircraft,on your specs, just ask

Albatros D.I coming to a German hangar near you.... This is a mash-up of Paarma's work and my own. BTW... this is with the new shaders loaded. I'm doing a little testing as well. It's amazing. The scenery looks even more realistic with ground shadows being cast on everything, as well as many new shadows and lighting effects in the cockpit. Really fantastic. OvS Looking good! Especially the wood. Constructive criticism, remove the fuselage weights tables--the Alb D.I did not use them--and reverse that Albatros logo on the rudder. 99% of the time the bird faces the spinner. I've never seen an Alb D.I with the port logo facing aft.

Another day in the sky - ending with a confirmed kill on friendly territory. Fought him one-on-one for nearly 15 minutes, with 107 bullet hits according to the debrief, a tough opponent!
Wow...15 minutes of one on one fight that must have been a real challenge!!

Finally I managed to take a few Screenies from my two german Characters I'm currently flying: This is Siegfried Schnellschuss from Rottweil in his special Halberstadt D3: ...and these are the E3 & E4 of Ludwig Ladehemmung from Unterursel... Ah..ah..funny skins, but the Halberstadt, more than a Shark face, deserves a Tench face.....

Hey, the Halb D3 isn't THAT bad... okay, it is so slow, that anyone with a Bicycle can overtake it, you never hit anything with it and I've seen more impressive Climb-Rates, but... well, what was it's Advantage, again?

It flies Nietzsche! ......... and it was not so bad for it's time. It just got dated rather quickly, like so many aircraft.

Yeah, E4 rules You are right, Robert, the D3 does have some real Advantages: It is practically impossible for anyone, to shoot it down - it's too agile for that. Sure, you can't run away, but they all losse Interest, sooner or later and head home. I guess, that's why they called it "Butterfly" (I read that somewhere, here)

Went looking for trouble with three E.III buddies, a wingman and two more flying top cover. (QC) Spec'd a N11, with one wingman, and two flying top cover. Specified head-to-head at 15,000, 2 NM distance. Found myself alone. Finally turned on labels. There were my guys, about 3000 feet above me at my 10 o'clock, 4 NM away. I climbed (as best an E.III can) and finally closed up with them. As I slid into formation I was looking around, and there on my 5 o'clock, was a single N11 whose label said 5.5 NM Going Home. Going home? Where was the fight? The French wimped out on me, and my guys were playing grab-ass in the chow line.(and I have "Enemy always engages" spec'd in the Workshop). Ah well. There's always tomorrow. Interesting morning light. . .

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.
