I'm really looking forward to the Spitfire, I have that and the jug as my download choices for signing up to the original Kickstarter project.

That was not the question.

Oh you mean a valid score number? I agree with the Metascore of 74. Every reviewer gives it something between 70 and 90. Somewhere in that range is a reasonable number. So when you see "user scores" which are way different it makes you wonder.

Just my opinion

OK so he is honest and has,t tried it. I have been trying it and I have flown the new missions and they are OK(not as sterile as included missions, but still sparse), but honestly they pull my Fps down(even on balanced), especially the Ju52 mission. The flight models are doable(Russian planes dive to fast still)(all ai are using human FM using to much CPU cycles), the landings are still a joke(zero g bounce fest). Here is the deal, there are less than 20 user made missions(did I miss some?) and still no way to even make a traditional static campaign. The factory campaign still sucks(qmb, joke, fantasy medals) and even the QMB sucks. Set a Qmb to practice against bombers and they fly like fighters, just like in the regular missions. Very unrealistic. Bos is still beautiful, but no soul, she is a hollow ghost of the old IL2. Have they squashed a lot of bugs, yes they have, but the Devs continue to ignore the things that would make Bos anything more than a bad QMB. I am not a MP guy, so I will say nothing about it?

S!Blade<><

Edit: 70 to 94, what a joke. That is just so wrong for so many reasons dude. I still give it a 40,and that is only because I like to use BOS to take pictures. You can get some beautiful pictures besides the DM which looks like it was taken straight from IL2 FB. Thanks for a good laugh though.

I tend to prefer actual user reviews over a web-site 'professional' review. Its hard to take a review seriously when the site has the whole background lit up with an advert for the game they are reviewing - which admittedly happens more on mainstream gaming sites covering PC and console gaming though I do recall one of the sites that reviewed BoS being festooned with adverts for it. I'm not saying there was anything untoward going on but it does happen with review sites who are hungry for ad revenue etc.

Like any judging. Throw out the lowest and highest scores and you're left with something reasonable.

Which is what happened on Metacritic, the low scores cancelled out the unrealistically high scores and so the result is a more realistic 5.7 and that's a generous score in my opinion.

You said a 0 was not valid, I am simply asking what scores you would consider valid...

Just read the "0" reviews and you'll have the answer how legit they are.

A 10 is more legit than a 0 honestly. When you rank things it begs the question; In comparison to what?
What are you going to compare BoS to? Another game that doesn't exist? Nobody made one of these games and launched it successfully for 8 years. So that alone warrants a 10. There are certainly areas for improvement but it's not a Zero.

it does make me wonder how the media reviewers can get it so wrong, clearly it's an indication of a massive conspiracy that makes completely independent and globally spread user level reviewers falsify reviews for no monetary rewards.

There you have it folks, it's officially a 10 for just existing, pretty much sums up the mind-set of the ultra-enthusiasts.

I think it was said before, give a starving man a stale cracker and he will be ecstatic. Does not mean the cracker is any good, it just means that all he has.

Same with BoS enthusiasts. Just for "being" its a 10....lol...

Thank goodness I can enjoy a buffet of good games, and can pass on the stale cracker.

Well isn't it what you are trying to suggest? That the lower score from the general user base is the result of a huge conspiracy, a handful of secret circle jerkers actually hold a significant power as to persuade a large number of ordinary people to vote negatively.

And all those Steam players that have quit playing BoS only did so based on what was said here. hahaha

And you wonder why there is still discussion going on here at SHQ about BOS's short comings and 1C/777's failure at PR and game development decisions. It amazes me that you wrote that, much less that you entertained the idea of posting it period. What really amazes me is that you actually clicked Submit. Nice SharpXB. I hope BC can pull a rabbit out of his hat to figure a way to Spin this to the positive. I don't see a way of doing that, but who knows?
Edit: I don't know about you, but i was told I was getting a Steak and I paid for a Steak and that is what I expected. Your right I did get a hot dog and I gladly admit it, now where is my Steak like I was promised [Text deleted]?

S!Blade<><

It was minor, but let's not start the name calling. Thanks.
