Trooper, your last pic. What an ugly aircraft. Love it!

Warbirds that was an awesome engine start up on those Tu 95s

Love that skin Bisher, I imagine it was a nice model.
Trooper, Cup is not compatible with 4.13. Love the Clip wing Spit and the Hawker Typhoon, what a beast.
Warbirds, enjoyed your movie, very nice.
I did finish my Homer AAR on page 3 if anyone didn't catch it. Was fun to make. He He!
I have resized 2560x1440 a lot of old IL2 pics and will post over the next few days.
I wish more would share, I know there have to be a lot of old pics lurking in peeps IL2 folders.
Share Folks???

Sokol1 posted this in the IL2 section, but it's well worth the watch! Brilliant stuff smile

Never seen that one before Troops, well worth the watch smile Great pics and great thread, going to take something with some serious ooomph to get close to the IL2 series.

Found a couple of oldies i had hanging around, pretty sure these were all vanilla install shots. The 109 shot would have to be eight or nine years old at least. Great looking sim.

Sokol1, awesome movie, Loved It! Just like the old Movietone pictures, Supereb. Thanks for posting Trooper. Ajay, really nice shots. Here are a few more. They are not old ones but these are just a testament to how good IL2 1946 Cup is right now.

I never had this game, but it looks as good as anything today and seems very immersive!

Buy it, someone was saying you can buy IL2 1946 for like 3$. Install IL2 1946 from the disk and then head over to SAS and get your MEGA PATCH. Once Patched to 4.12.2m, make a copy and put it in a Folder, maby "IL2 1946 4.12.2m Fresh Copy". Now if something gets screwed up, just delete, make another copy of your "Fresh Copy" and try again. CUP or HSFX only work with 4.12.2m as far as I know. 4.13 is the latest patch and you can make another copy of your fresh copy and Patch it to 4.13 also. Just remember to put each copy in it's own uniquely named folder and then use the launcher in that folder to launch that particular game. I think I actually have like 5 Install in different configs, LOL.
Look in the CUP Section for a Step by Step guide to installing CUP.
Another way to go is to look in HSFX for the Newbie guide. This can also be used in conjunction with CUP. Hope you decide to try because you don't know what you are missing. Don't forget Mission4Today for all kinds of IL2 1946 downloads and also for many other Fight Sims. Enjoy.

Going back to 'the good old days'...

Here are some flyers I put out for my campaign in the works 'Heavy Fighters'...
Unfortunately now lost when my HD went down some years ago... Maybe I'll get back around to doing it again smile

Doesn't matter who posts mate smile as long as it's pics of the old IL2 and not it's supposed 'successor'
