If I posted images from FlightGear and my online MP WWI mod?

Since my PC is an older rig and runs 32 bit Windoze, WOFF isn't in an option for now.

I got a new plane in the sim last afternoon. I made this years earlier when I was modding with TargetWare. 1915 French lattice-tail floatplane Henry Farman 22 two seater.

Looks nice and some day WOFF may have some additional planes like these too.

Since I asked to see more of them, no of course I don't mind!

Henry Farman's designs don't get the love they deserve. Maurice's get more attention, but even that is sparing.

Yeah, the HF-20 was quite aerobatic for it's design with one light pilot at the controls.

I have a Horace F.40 in the wings, since my online mod is also a centenary event, I also converted Helijah's EIII to an EI for the upcoming Fokker Scourge..

.. we're flying as a Morane Saulnier Escort-Fighter two seater squad for Happe's MF-29 out of Belfort-Chaux and Corcieux, ( I really like the Vosges and Applesauce-Lorraine terrain in FG.. :P)..

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, Once a Barmy Offer...

I'm going to keep a centenary record of our experience online in this thread.

I hope to persuade my old MP crew to rejoin and wander around with me, hopelessly trying to find emergency airfields in the hills, and defending our few obs balloons against the vast hordes of Hun fighters, (actually various passing MP airliners and the occasional Mirage2000 that tried strafing Chaux one Saturday a few months back.)

You know that FlightGear has planes that shoot and record hits? We're sort of half ways to being an air combat sim.

If you have the patience to install it, most of your PC's should run it effortlessly. And there's some awesome shader work ongoing with it right now.

There's also driveables. A Model T flatbed and a Thornycroft J AA gun truck.

Hard to find boots nowadays that fit mine.

Threadd resurrection. I have built a new FlightGear aircraft, and it's in the sim. One that doesn't seem to get the representation in most WWI aviation sims that it should for the numbers it was historically produced in.

The Voisin LA3

Did a little flight from Belfort-Chaux to Malzseville with it and had some awesome live weather along the way

I wonder if there is anyway that you could model these for WOFF, they would sure fill some holes in the early war stuff.

Well I've been down the attempted importing to CFS3 road before, we've discussed it. sigh

That's true, I forgot about that earlier discussion, sorry for the reminder.

You know it was actually considered more apt to survive combat encounters than the Shorthorn because it was made of mostly steel tubing. But it was heavy and had a lot of parasite drag.

They hauled 37 mm cannons in the nose of these for ground attack roles.

The landing gear is a bear to animate. duh

The amazing thing about the Voisin is the engine, the Canton-Unne/Salmson 9P was wonderfully powerful and compact for a water pumper, also considering that the slightly uprated 9Z powered the Salmson A2 which was considered one of the best Allied obs-bombers of the late war. What could have been done with the 9P in a more modern design airframe and better weaponry. The French soldiered on with some of the most dismal early war designed two seaters way into 1917.
