Very good news. Especially the new features.

Somehow the trees look more 3D and higher resolution in the screenshot on your web page. Or is it just Ankor's shader's magic doing that?

Are the clouds also in 3D and high resolution?

Fantastic news! I can't wait for 2.06 and the exciting add on aircraft. I'm especially interested in the Workshop feature that let's missions choose the closest possible targets. Great stuff!

Alrighty looks like the Early War is covered now...and I am looking forward to the N27 as a bone to us mid to late war fliegers.
And I'll be curious to see the "closest target" feature in action.
Plus the new shaders of course! Spectacular.

Great news Pol! My birthday is this June. Just saying.

I second the motion to get MFair a Nieuport 27 for his birthday.

And us by extension.

I think you're right OldHat. The trees do look improved. Nice bonus there. From the website - the following quote about 2.06 update.

"The update will also include a few small enhancements and new features, full details will be released later.

Some examples; improvements to excessive aircraft damage that could sometimes affect pilot health in outcomes. A 'very light' Regional Air Activity in Workshops settings to help those will lesser CPU/GPU power, and a Workshop setting to allow player to always have the closest target available allocated and more.

Also included are improved sky and horizon lighting at sunrise/sunset by AnKor! Other improvements such as a major rework of aircraft shine and reflectivity, and a blinding effect for sun glare -- beware of the Hun in the sun wink and more. It will also include some minor aircraft fixes."

Can't wait for the full list to be released but so far it looks fantastic. Best supported WWI flight sim ever.

Yes we definitely need some of the secondary German scouts, along all periods, they would not be many,I can think of Fokker DII/III,Roland "D" something,Pfalz DVIII.....and Siemens Schuckert DIII of course!

And since someone brought it up I think the German selection of two-seaters is kind of thin. How many DFW's can I shoot down? Need the LVG's and the wide variety of Alb two-seaters.
Plus, of course, late war French two-seaters and the DH4 and Dolphin for the Brits.

*Back to topic*
Looking forward to the new stuff!

Thank OBD! There's a real intelligence to the way this sim has been developed and expanded. The devs set out with a mission to put you into the life of a Great War pilot, and they haven't deviated from that aim. Graphics improvements have been based on it (eg the sun glare). Expansion has followed the aim (fleshing out the early war plane set). And you could go on.

Like many others, I thank you and hope you can sustain it into the future -- and into the later war periods.

Oh, and I resist all temptation to mention French two-sweaters... deadhorse
