Lots of tv shows and films are now shot in Toronto. It used to be all in Vancouver.

"Fringe" from seasons 2 through 5 was shot in Toronto.

Same with Arrow and the Flash. Both are filmed in Canada.

Tax incentives I believe. One thing I've learned over the years is Hollywood is very anti-taxes. They will go anywhere, endure any hardships, just to get a break on or avoid paying taxes altogether.

"Does this part of Toronto look like Paris to you?"
"Uh, no."
"Never mind, we'll put in a cheap CG backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and no one will know!"

Good to know... the company (not the Company, don't worry) has an office in Toronto. Might ask for a transfer there!

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I have not been to Toronto for a few years now. It's just gotten too friggin huge and manic for me. If I need a connection flight I go to Montreal or Ottawa just to avoid Pearson airport smile

Isn't Montreal just as big as Toronto as far as population and urbanization?

According to Wikipedia Toronto is about the size of Chicago and Montreal is about the size of Philadelphia.

As a native of Montreal living in Toronto for the last 15 years, I find the two cities have very different
"feels". Not just the obvious cultural differences, but geographical as well.
Toronto sprawls a lot.
There is a downtown by Lake Ontario, but then another dense blob at Yonge and Bloor about 2 miles north, followed by another blob another 10 miles north in North York.
Montreal's downtown is much more focused in a single, larger, area.
Montreal is an island with a small mountain in the middle and has many bridges in various states of (dis)repair linking the bedroom communities to north and south of the city to it. Toronto is just a huge flat blob punctuated by a few river ravine systems and which continues to expand in every direction (except south) along its ever-chocked highways.
Montreal has a well-preserved "Old Montreal" with many stone building dating back between the early 1700s and 1800s. Toronto has a few sparse heritage buildings of newer vintage whose sole remains consist of a shell sitting at the base of a 40-floor glass office tower.

TL;DR: No, Montreal and Toronto are quite different. My heart still resides in Montreal.

They film Suits across the street from me all the time, and Suicide Squad been filming several scenes in a back alleyway a block away all month. I also have Heroes Reborn, the Girlfriend Experience and a couple other shows filming near me on Bay St. I'm getting tired of it, frankly. Screws up my commute all the time.
