Okay, I am thinking about giving War Thunder a try. I played it a while ago and it seems like fun but I like to fly with my HOTAS and well you were at a disadvantage with people using the mouse and keyboard. Is it still like that?

You'll have to play around with the non-linearilty settings but a good trick is to enable the mouse joystick and assign one of your hats to move it to simulate a stable two-hand piloting. Also, don't go head on where the mouse intructors reign supreme.

In Arcade and Realistic mode you will probably be up against it against the mouse users smile

When I first came up against the IS3 and got royally swatted I Googled 'war thunder kill IS3' and read a long post full of people whining about how hard it was to kill it, but they went into the stratosphere when some guy came on and said, "I don't know what all you whiners are complaining about. I have the IS3 and it is NOT impossible to kill, I can tell you. There is a huge shot trap just below the barrel and if you are surrounded by Tigers one of them is sure to hit it. I have to be very careful against groups of Tigers."

I leave to your imagination how many people got warned for swearing at him...

I picked up the P-47M during the wings of victory sale. I like the plane but am not very good with it. I mostly play Japan and Britain but the P-47 is my favourite WW2 US fighter. The sim event yesterday was US vs Japan and I saw mostly jets in the P-47M. One thing to keep in mind is that the meta gameplay favours low altitude turn fighters more than high altitude boom and zoomers due to visibility limitations and ground targets needing to be destroyed.

Last night all the B-29 players in every match immediately dove down to around 5k feet at the beginning of the match which made them dog meat for N1K2, Ki-84s and the new Japanese jets. Very frustrating not being able to use the P-47 to it's strengths.

One day the West will fall. But if the Liberty for which we fight is taken up by the world then the West will not have failed.
