Not the M18, Tiger, Su85.

Not the IL2 or Stuka.

Lately the leading cause of death for me has been...familius interruptus.

"Dad where are you?"

"In here...."

"I need THING X, for POINTLESS REASON Y."

"Can it wait?"

"No I need it NOW."

Here's my favourite cause of death. I swear upon me mam's honour this is true. I've managed to cap the enemy base in Berlin, solo. I've backed my Tiger into a wrecked building overlooking the base with only my barrel sticking out. An M18 (grrrr hate those guys) comes screaming into the base and tries to recapture it. I waste him. Two other Shermans appear. I have them all lined up...

"Fred, I need your help!" comes wifey voice from upstairs.

"No, you really don't," sez I.

"Yes I do. I've lost the Google from my Chrome."

Another allied tank arrives, now there are three in range and they still don't know I'm there.

"What? Chrome is Google. You can't lose the Google from your Chrome."

"I don't like Chrome anyway. I want the other one back, the Google one."

"Which one?!"

"The one with the icon of the G. I want that one."

Arrrrrrgggggh. The counter to doom is ticking down, but the Shermans still haven't seen me. I can do this. I run upstairs, establish my wife is a lunatic, show her the 'Google one' she wants back is just Internet Explorer with the icon of the 'E' and its still there, and run back downstairs to find that the three Shermans have managed to spot me while I was away and killed me deader than dead.

Families, can't live with them....

LoL! My favorite. Got the house to my self (yes!), family, some of them, all of them or just one of them shows up at the door (full decorative glass, can see me on the computer). They stand there knocking, ringing the door bell, dogs going ape #%&*$#. How did they get home without their FREAKING KEYS!!?? And I'm flying a plane!

Well i did have the chicken incident a long time ago whilst trying to save England from the Luftwaffe hordes, and then the rum incident while attempting my first kill in CloD..but lately it has been my girls new kitty jumping from her desk to mine and exploring either the straw poking out of my iced coffee, my fingers on the keyboard or the movement of my mouse cord. Behind me is the couch which being winter we have two big puffy doonas on it..the cat has become quite the ace at flying gracefully over my shoulder.

Heinkill, unfortunately you cannot throw family..well..not very far anyway biggrin

My 12 year old daughter really meant well, she was just trying to help...

My Sherman was getting ganged up on by 3 tigers slapping the crap out of me. I was trying to make a hasty withdrawal when my daughter looked over my shoulder and saw the "U" flashing on the screen so she reached over and pressed it. lol

Ha! So true Heinkill! My wife looks on my gaming at 65 with bemused derision, and one of the many joys of village life is that someone opens so much as an email somewhere and my ping rockets to unplayable levels, and kids that haven't taken their driving tests yet when home from Uni want taking somewhere now because thy are always late.
Still, it has it's compensations; kids have promised to put me in a nice home when the time comes.
