I rarely check SimHQ when on my phone because the side column layout tales up so much room that it makes the forum content and font so small that it's a huge pain to use on a small screen since you have to zoom in for each thing you want to read or navigate. A real phone friendly layout or Tapatalk support would be awesome BTW I think I read somewhere recently that Google Search is going to start rating sites that have a mobile layout higher in the search results than sites that don't so it would seem to make monetary sense as well from a site hits perspective.

As much as I hate the current forums on mobile - it's literally the worst of any page I visit - I'd hate a mobile app more. I visit the site when I'm surfing the internet and I visit several sites along the way, often coming here on the Spur of the moment. A mobile app would massively reduce how often I would visit.
Tapatalk on the other hand is the most intrusive piece of cow dung I've ever encountered. Having to put up with their pop up prompt on every visit simply because I delete my cookies and dislike them tracking me around the Web as a 'service' would quite possibly bring my visits close to zero. I say this because there are sites I did stop visiting for no other reason than that.
