Is it as a patch or do we need to pay for it? I just bought the one year subscription so i hope its for free?:)

This is a new version. It will have the new engine as well as other new features. I believe it will be a paid version for "classic license" (dongle) owners . However if your time limited license is still active then you will get it for free.

Your time limited 1 year license would have expired by then.

Ok thanks. Its the second time i buy a one year license, should probably bought the full version already!

Some prefer the time limited license while others the dongle. I have had the dongle for over a year and had no issues with it. I prefer this option. Two benefits of the dongle are:
1. You can sell it if you wish. eSim have no issue with this
2. You will always be able to play SB. However you must pay for the latest upgrade if you do not have it and wish to use it.

There are other benefits. It was calculated that if you purchased "time limited" licenses for 5 years it would cost about the same as a dongle plus paid upgrades over the same time period.

The choice is yours.

There is nothing concrete about the next release date. The date could change. There could be problems. eSims may want to add something else...... I will however relay the information when I get it.

Time-based license subscribers never have to pay upgrade fees. You can always get the latest version as you wish. Since we get more or less continuous payments from subscribers this helps to finance the continuous software development.

If you have the CodeMeter Centre installed.
Open it.
Select the "Webadmin" tab in the bottom right.
Your Web Browser will open the "CodeMter WebAdmin" page.
Select the "Content" tab
Select the "Licenses" tab
You should see what license you have there under "Name"

2009? That would be something like version 2.3xx? Just follow Asid's advice to be sure. Anyway , if you want to update you ONLY need to get the latest licence. So with investing 40 $ you're up to date again.
