The original is actually quite an entertaining popcorn action movie. I predict the new one will be horrible.

Why not? He's still alive and doing films. he's just kind of lost it, between his motorcycle accident and drugs... our HR department printed pics of this guy like my pic above and put them under our PC Mice so they wouldn't work as an April Fools joke.

Aren't they already remaking the Batman films after Nolan just got done with them? Correct. DC studios is making Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice which is already in post-production.
