It's a reboot that I don't care about.

From the trailers I have seen in past few months, some of the scenes are almost identical frame by frame with scenes in the first film.

Don't see it living up to The Road Warrior, but it looks like a cool action movie nonetheless and I shall be seeing it for sure.

I think it looks like a cliche now. Mad Max and Road Warrior were different when they came out. The post apocalyptic theme has been done fairly often by now, so what they do is make the characters look ever more theatrical and demonic, the vehicles look impractical, and people are doing dangerous stunts for seemingly no reason except to die in more acrobatic ways.

This will go the way of RoboCop.

All repetitious cliche action and without the satire and social critiques that made the original RoboCop a great 80's film.

I'm looking forward to it. It could be as good as Road Warrior, but neither as good as Mad Max.

I dunno. If Paul Verhoeven had directed the Robocop remake, I bet it would have been pretty good This might be too, but at least it's George Miller directing it. Also, consider Total Recall. I know it wasn't great, but I actually think the remake was better than the original.

We'll just pretend that Beyond Thunderdome never happened, okay?

Not so fast. We'll just say that it's up to George Miller to redeem himself after Beyond Thunderdome. Keep expectations low, if necessary, but it's not like we haven't seen directors steer sequels into the doldrums of forgettable cinema before. Particularly after they've already made it big when they were up and coming, the stuff that comes later may tend to lose steam.

Isn't that just the same footage they released a few months ago?

Looked like s*** then, looks like s*** now. I'll (disappointedly) pass.

Zero interest in this movie.

too many explosions, too many people, too many cliches - lost completely the original feel of the first two movies, besides, the trailer revealed the whole plot already.

This looks more like a thunderdome reboot. Th first MM movie was great. The second was good, thunderdome was a steaming pile of #%&*$#. This reboot looks very similar I dont think Ill be watching it.
