Hey Guys!

Page update ... here's a link to the latest creations (the Version 2 builds) of this control panel: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=...ad.php?t=165291

A while back i built a control panel for the SU-25T ( SU-25T USB control panel ) At the bottom of that post, I had a google sketchup drawing of the next panel I wanted to build.

My idea was to build a control panel that could be used for all of the Flaming Cliff 3 aircraft.

Well, here it is! It's an empty shell right now, all that it needs now is the wiring. I'll get to that soon, but I've been delayed a bit because of ... well ... life (story of all of us I guess). I can't complain though. I took a new job, and am learning to fly this https://fsbrasil.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/e175_delta_n202jq-c.jpg (cockpit -> http://www.embraercommercialaviation.com/AircraftGallery/175-13.jpg ) One hell of an amazing airplane!

Anyway, This control panel will control ALL of the A/P, CM, Trims, Sensors, Systems, Kneeboard, Weapons, Modes, and Comm channels (F1-F12, plus a couple quick reference comm keys) As said before, it will work with each of the FC3 aircraft, as well as the SU-25T

Here's a picture of it without the throttle quadrant or joystick. As you can see the surface area is quite large, and it fits the X-55 HOTAS just fine. But it's also sized so that the Warthog HOTAS will also fit just fine in the provided space.

And lastly, here's a size comparison of the FC 3 panel (obviously under construction at this point) vs the SU-25T panel.

Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures. I'm looking forward to getting this thing completed and testing it out. It'll be a bit though as I'm still in ground school until the beginning of March :/
Thanks guys!

Thanks guys! F-86 huh? That would be a cool one. I'm hoping to do a panel for that and the Mig-21 some day. I'm also interested in seeing the complexity with the Mig-15, C-101 and the Hawk cockpits.
Just purely guessing here, but I'm thinking that the F-86, Mig-15, and Mig-21 might need their own dedicated panels because i'm sure there's going to be tons of "aircraft specific" keys that aren't really cross platform friendly

Yeah the F-86, minus the gauges, is actually a pretty simple build. It's almost all simple switches, with only a few rotaries. I'm skipping the gauges part currently, and just going for switch functionality and congruence with reality in terms of placement.

WharfRat,
Yep, that's the goal. The control panel i built for LeOne was a custom built one just for him ... i ended up building a second just for me though (and a 3rd and 4th for future sales too) We discussed the things that he wanted the panel to do, and then I sent some drafts of what i thought it would look like. We agreed upon it, and away I went building it.
So I can do custom builds (within reason), or builds that are already tested (like this one, or the SU-25T panel) or modified versions of completed panels.
If you're interested, lemme know!

Jenrick, yeah gauges require .LUA stuff, and to keep things simple I'm steering away from those for now. They would need either monitors to display the stuff, or actual physical dials which is WAAAAAAY beyond my scope at the moment.

Yeah I don't want to shell out for monitors, and having built a few working steam gauges for MSFX before I don't really have a desire to that again either.

I am happy to finally say, the control panel is complete!

Just got done testing it on a couple of the aircraft, and it is working 100% !!!
Here's a picture with the panel with the F-15C. and another with the SU-25

Do you have a schematic or drawings for someone to put this together? How much would you want for them?

hey there Onedusmfish
I don't post my all the schematics for these, I have to keep some stuff inhouse ya know. I made a post on the ED forums a while back for the Version 2 builds of these control panels. here's the link. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165291 I have a bunch of pictures there showing some of the steps of the building process.
I have one of these control panels in stock. They go for $650 before shipping.
Feel free to ask any questions
