Nice shot (the night one). Nice outcome getting those little gun-trucks to work.

As an AI vehicle its not to bad. Its a grip of work but doable. As a human playable vehicle...harder. That is the goal.

Ya... that's tactical... biggrin

Bunch of work done on the gauges and panel. Its nice I guess, but does not really show up well. That was expected. And getting a that tan look going. Just after color. Still no real detail work in the textures yet...that is weathering.

What the dash currently looks like. No, not going to cut it for a playable vehicle IMO. It is totally good for GTOS style rts. And it does work there.

Now back to work on a playable dash with hopefully better everything.

Yep. I actually prefer it over that weird push button one that is going to replace it.

Far from the most exciting thing... but...

Started the "reading material" for the truck commander seat.

Hopefully I will have alpha version driving around in a week or so. Andrey is making changes under the hood of remastered sabow to hopefully make it easier to bring in 3rd party vehicles. My little hybrid (rigging wise) jeep should be a good test.

Alas animations correct for the jeep and crew is something I am not trying to to think about. Because as of now, I know of no way to make that happen. So we might end up with a couple of working jeeps with crews that look silly in them. But one thing at a time I guess.

But if this works out.... I do have those old M113's. Complete a low poly interior. Make high poly crew areas like commander/gunners vision blocks, gun/sight, drivers stuff, and make better textures. That is most logical... Although making something silly like a usable BTR 152 is always appealing. But the next thing I want to set my sights on is making MAPS. Which is not exactly easy considering there is no map editor. LOL. But that opens up tons of things. New campaigns. Land form that might be able to work well with how the 9 1km squares work.

But also have something that got thrown on the back burner I need to complete. My Flak 18 88mm gun. And I am half tempted to make that playable...

that might be TOO crazy and boring as a playable thing!

The high ploy dash sitting in the LOD 1.2 =) m38a1. New dash is a lot better and its still missing needles for gauges, glass for gauges, and final textures. No spec or normal maps. No weathering yet.

Now from here its add in detail parts that will only show if your IN the jeep. This is keep poly count as low as possible. I would rather have 20 jeeps on my screen than 1 high poly one for the same cost. So need to get teh steering wheel less lame. Add in the cable that connects to the wind shield wipers. Make all the transmission gear sifters look less bad. Oh and make LOD1 for real now for external model. Be doing this until I am happy that it looks good from driver and TC seats. Then the same thing will happen with the .50 cal. I want working sights. 500-2000 yard range...like I did in the Army damnit!

Rebuilding OLD minimod for remastered sabow today.

Rifle grenades... Energa and smoke Rn40L

Angolan playable t62. No its not exactly realistic.

Rifle grenades making smoke.

Rifle grenades making way to much smoke

Unita playable t62... For old dystopia mission

Just found out that many of the GTOS DLC assets are IN remastered sabow. Like the type 56 (sks) rifle. biggrin And probably why I can not find my G3a3 in remastered sabow files. Was looking in wrong place.

Small potato thing. Gave gaz 66 with zu-23-2 to Angola. Arn't I nice?

The next best thing to a tow-able zu-23 when their might be gun ships about...

Working on safari 2.0 now. Finally. A few more small units I forgot to add to the minimod 2.0 to add in. Little things for this mission I did not think of basically.

Its going to be a really experimental mission/campaign. Not like default campaigns at all. Hope it works out.

That 88 would fit in perfect for Steel Fury:)

Hmmm ww2 DLC's are planned for remastered sabow. If sales are high enough for that to happen. Its mentioned on the steam forum. So this 88 might actually be seen again. Oh and completed.

Forgot to say... and this is why the jeep is waiting...

For the DLC's for SABOW a hopefully new and easier way to mod in vehicles should happen. hopefully. THis might make it easier to bring in stuff from mod sorts. As the current way for playable vehicles is rather hard. Ok really hard when your missing what a huge chunk of the code does. It maybe possible to easily for instance, mod that flak 18 as a playable unit. With way less head ache unlike now.
