Current assignment is flying a DV Alb and my home base is in the red area of the map.

As soon as I take off a message covers half the screen telling me I need to turn towards the "regular" part of the map. I went just a hair past the field and I was taken out of the cockpit and I watched my plane fly away! I took a shot and turned the plane back towards the airfield and I "jumped" back into the cockpit.

Why would the sim put me in a location that's not on the "regular" map and how do I get assigned back onto the map?

If I immediately turn towards the "regular" map, all is well except for the message. As soon as I pass the red edge of the map the message goes away.

I'm flying a regular career through the sim.

Has anyone been assigned to an airfield that wasn't on the "regular" map before?

How can this happen?

just report it on the official forums.. the stock career is still pretty beta, if you ask me, even if they patched out the beta in the name lately.
