I downloaded bms and changed the settings in game, but it still does not look like the vids I have seen. Is there some mods to make it look better?

Manually override the settings in your video card drivers?

Without knowing what vids, and what you're personally running, it's hard to say.

Some of the vids you're seeing might be from theaters other than Korea, for example Balkans or Israel. Balkans has had a lot of terrain work to make it look very good. Guam uses all photoreal tiles.

For Korea, there are several terrain mods. My favorite is Tom's Korea tiles: http://www.bmsforum.org/forum/showthread.php?12247-Tom-s-texture-pack

If you decide to mod anything, I very strongly recommend backing up your files that you're modding first.

I installed the toms but made a backup first. The Guam looks amazing. Can i install the Guam and still play Korea also or does it overwrite the Korea?

Guam doesn't overwrite anything but it hasn't been released yet. I snagged it when Dave (Demer928) had a beta copy up for download. I don't know when he's planning on releasing the final version. The beta is no longer available.

Israel is very nice, as is Balkans. They don't play well together, though, as they DO overwrite stuff. So pick one or the other. You can read more about it on BMS.

I'm sorry, but once you actually start playing this game as a combat flight simulator, you won't really notice the "bad graphics"....

Once my HOTAS comes in I will start playing as a combat flight simulator. I still like the ground textures and such.

In the heat of combat, no, but on the climb out and during the quiet moments on patrol, it's nice to have something to look at

Hehehe... I'm too busy staying in close formation and my head is either on a swivel or constantly glancing at my radar screen.... the shadows in the cockpit look blurry? I'm too busy to notice. On egress, I'm mentally replaying the mission and seeing what I can learn from it, next thing I know it's time to descend.

I will say I notice the graphics is at its worst on the final leg or when on the ground, then you can see the blurryness.

Yup, slow and at ground level she turns back into the original falcon 4.0.

Which is why I aim to minimize my time at that end of the curve
