Premium $49.99
Standard $29.99At these prices anyone on the fence.. or anyone who did a rage quit and sold their copy... might consider buying back in perhaps.. In any case.. this is a good deal.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Is it really worth the sale price or should I wait? I'm sure maybe a year from now it will be even cheaper (hoping it's still around in a year). I've got so many irons in the fire with other flight games, it would probably just sit on my hard drive for months.
Thanks,
Uncle

There is one major difference between the standard and premium releases that might make you consider which version is best for you. The PREMIUM version has the ability to unlock all the weapons with a touch of a button. The STANDARD version precludes that all unlocks must be obtained by playing the campaign.
The PREMIUM is still 20 dollars less than the regular retail price of the standard version so it's still a good bargain for the price.
There are strengths and weaknesses to BoS, which have been covered ad nausea on this and other forums. I think it does a lot of things well, but I find the campaign soul-less. I'm an off-line player so that's a big thing for me. I still fire it up (after a long hiatus) to whet my appetite.

For a price of a single DCS plane (which are excellent ofc., I have 10 of them) Premium (10 planes + unlocks) is not that bad choice now IMHO. (and yes, Trooper, I like the eastern front )
If you're close, get closer.

They're talking about "new". The price is new. The features haven't changed.

Wow didnt take long for the fire sale to start. Shows it is worth not being an 'early adopter'. Come late to the sim party, get RoF free, DCS kites for 20 bucks, BoS for half price, CoD for ten bucks...we are idiots paying full price on release.
H We certainly are.

No longer impatient, bos cured that condition permanently.
I think I will wait for the free version and if it does not happen = no loss. Well the one thing BOS has taught me, is to not buy into early access again. This time I will wait for release, and then for some time after that reading up on the final product reviews.

H I don't think RoF went free to play until several years post release. BoS being 50% off after only 4 months is a little strange. We can all make our own assumptions, but I wonder how the game really is selling at this point.
