Why your not seeing release dates?
Look at GTA5 for the PC, release date has been pushed back for the 5th time. Son of a ! I was hoping you were just exaggerating, then I saw the post on kotaku. Of course if it makes the April date I'll likely be gone for several weeks for work.

Completely ignoring the fact that most devs do manage to both give out release dates well in advance, and live up to them. Who in the flight sim industry is reliably hitting long distance estimates? Neither of them are. Of course, a sample size of two is not statistically reliable, therefore you are forced to broaden the pool to "entertainment software" which is sufficiently large. Why your not seeing release dates?
Look at GTA5 for the PC, release date has been pushed back for the 5th time. True, it was pushed back. But unlike ED Rockstar has been waaaayyyy more communicative about delays and upcoming features. Yeah they have a massive marketing dept and all, but a little more insight as to a product road map isn't asking too much. And while the dates have moved, they still at least take a stab at a date. I don't even know if ED own's a calendar. They just look outside and figure "well, there's not a lot of snow right now, so after the leaves fall off the trees again we'll have finished the alpha for the next screen shot render of the Hornet"

That would make uncomfortably much sense actually. Can I get a high-five: 42 pages of junk.

with the the lack of info they give us anyhow. If you compare ED to, say, the IL-2 team back in the day, you'll notice that they actually give us info aplenty. Not so with BST however; those guys don't say much if anything about their projects - and what little info is out there, more often than not consists of random forum postings in Russian. Thus what you have to do is put the bits and pieces together and remain optimistic. A case in point would the latest beta changelog, where they mention the v1.2.15 Mi-8 starter generator having a "cooling model", which probably means a thermal damage model has now been implemented. So remaining optimistic again, I'm now hoping to see this implemented for the Huey turbine / mechanics in the near(ish) future as well

From the two posted pictures, things are looking up for DCS-hornet drivers. I always look at the cup half full so far their is positive progress in the DCS-Hornet. I'm a bit curios as what the projected space requirements once the release of this module, The Aircraft Carrier for the Naval Aviation component of this. From the looks of things it's clear that EDGE/DCS World 2 will come out before the release of the hornet. With Leatherneck Simulations working on the DCS-F-14 Tomcat and ED working on the DCS-F-18 Hornet, the future for DCS Naval aviation looks bright indeed. Heat2151 USN-Retired'08

so there is a DCS F-18C and a coretex version, or they are the sane? Hey Hannibal, These are two birds of another feather. ED is working on the F/A-18C, and Coretex has, at least for time being stopped production on the DCS-F/A-18E. Heat2151 USN Retired'08

The hat-switch looks terribly unergonomic...
All kidding aside, looking great!
One thing that I'd love to see in DCS, that's become popular in FSX, is the click-to-remove flight stick, which makes accessing the panels behind the stick far more accessible on a PC. In the bugs case, this would also include the center MFD.

Was wondering the same thing about the stick. A couple of the older planes, F-86 come to mind, could benefit from a hide stick option too.

I got to admit it would a great idea if ED could code this on all the modules. Especially for all the fast movers. Heat2151 USN Retired'08
