First and second games remastered, the original versions and adds MP.

Pre-ordered and really looking forward to it, all the dev demos look really great.

I never played the originals and have always heard great things about it, I'm especially looking forward to playing the single player campaigns.

The Sticks, England.
Seem to remember Frigates were a waste of money.
Even a sniff of a missle and BOOOOOOM!
Destroyer's and Battlecruiser's were where it was at.

Corvettes and fighter's were OK, mainly cos they could manouever around the big stuff.

My favourite ship was the Carrier.
A mini production base.

Lasted about 5 seconds in real combat though.

One thing I always liked about HM series was that it did some what use 3d space. I mean most space type games since then pretty much only care about sticking stuff on 1 relative plane. Way back when they had depth of space going on. Which is odd that everything since it might as well be on an ocean than space. unless my memory is way off.

Steam keeps saying the path for install is invalid when I try to pre-load?

No issues with preload here, downloaded fine, try restarting Steam?

Just wish it would unlock at midnight and not 14hrs from now...

rebooted steam, might have brother reboot PC,

edit: yup, he had a Windows update that wasnt lettin go of the Windows Installer API.
Rebooted, let it finish, and downloading nicely (20% in like 1 minute)

I caved in and bought it, just 45 minutes before the pre-order pricing went away. I think it is a bit pricey for an old game, even with a graphics overhaul, but then Homeworld is a classic and I know I will enjoy it.

I have never preordered a game before but I did this. I knew I'd buy it anyhow and take advantage of the sale.

Regarding Steam, when it first came out I was *darn* skeptical and leery of the service, but now I am 100% behind it and I would far rather use it than anything else, including physical media.
