Do you believe that bos has the potential to handle more then a couple dozen ai aircraft and hundreds of ground vehicles at once?

Edit: ot, but I thought you decided that deleting threads was bad and you said you would no longer do it. Guess some things don't change... http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/14596-thats-thing-now/

Quite clearly says "next title" and "new game"

Once again you abuse your moderator status at the official forums to remove a thread where you called someone out on something they said as not being true - in fact you went as far as saying it was slander which was not true - the member had quotes to back his claim that funding was in place for BoS and you've now deleted the thread - handy seeing how it was another thread criticising BoS and how 1C/777 were developing BoM without finishing up BoS.

Yes it is a "new game", but built on the same game engine, that can be merged with the first game. Probably eventually creating a series of "new games" that could be mergeable or stand alone.

I'll probably get it for those early access builds. Even though I didn't care much for the finished game I really liked getting a new plane to play with every now and then. If I have the mission builder I'm pretty sure I'd get my money's worth.

The P40 is a favourite and I can always make a good guy skin for it...

To nitpick one could say that those are not P-40's but Tomahawk II's.
But I wont nitpick.

To the OP: These statements are false and I will tell you why.

Our friend Bearcat99 has been a member here for 12 years with 3200 posts under his belt...with over 350 posts in this BOS section alone since October. As you can see...he will always correct any information that he deems "not correct" and might even give you some pointers on how you should "feel" about the product.

I can assure you...you are quite safe using SimHQ for information. Of course, you should consider the source when deciding what is good info. In a case like this...one might question the wisdom coming from someone that openly condemns a website that they have had the privilege of using for free for over a decade.

Good point.
And I'd let the members decide which forum gives it's members more freedom, and information.
Wonder what would happen if someone posted something like that, at the BoS forums?
Yeah, you call that freedom, or accurate information, the full story?
What, you listen to 'Brian Williams' et al, well nuff said.
Politics doesn't belong in this forum.
It belongs in the PWEC.

End it.

I think it is safe for me to say at this point, there is no way I will buy into any Early Access from these developers again, not unless they show me something for single players, which would mean a major reversal of their current direction.

New planes and new map? Means nothing to me if the core design remains the same. ( Lifeless )

I'm thankful for SimHQ threads and opinions on BOS. They saved me $100 and disappointment.

I also appreciate the reviews by Heinkill and 33LIMA which were posted at a different forum and linked to from here.

There's some commercial I remember where the guy says....."Where the educated consumer is our best customer". But in this case MudWasp.....it went the other way. You were smart for doing some research...But stay tuned...these next couple of months will show the new direction, if any, that this game might go.....

While I agree totally with you about single player, things are not rosey for multiplayer either, for the same reasons.

Boring, repetitive scenarios.

Those of you that know me, know that I am at heart an onliner. But after flying online twice since I purchased BoS, I just don't see any reason to keep trying, though I now have a new computer that will help quash the performance issues I had initially, apparently the game play is still the same... Spawn, die, repeat, no goals nonsense that I experienced early on.

Hell, half of my old flying buddies have picked up War Thunder, because it runs on their older machines, and they can get together on comms and have some FUN, which is not what is happening in BoS. Not that I'll ever do that, frankly diving head first into a pit of crocodiles is a more appealing endeavor.

But the lesson is that the current state of the 777/1CGS offering has lead otherwise loyal flight simmers to jump ship
to an arcade game, because the game play experience isn't like pulling teeth without Novocain.

I don't think I could go the War Thunder route.

I have plenty of fun keeping me occupied with TF Cliffs, DCS, and ROF. Just with DCS I have way more options for flight simming than I will ever get around to doing, all installed and ready to go at anytime.

I can't help but keep thinking, my gosh BOS with something like the beta Career, or better yet PWCG, would have been so awesome for SP fun.

Hello, i'm the author of the post you are refering to, upon discussion with moderators, it was revealed that the post was closed because of insults aimed directly at the developpers.
That decision was justified, and no further comments should be made about that.

No. No it was not. It was a post answering someone who asserted that we don't have the finished product we were promised because they cannot work for free. It pointed out that either the person asserting that was being disingenuous or the devs were being disingenuous. Both cannot be true.

Well first welcome to Sim HQ!

I tried to find a "scratching my head" emoticon but did not see it, so picked the closest I could find.
That one left me a little puzzled, but ok.
