I can not seem to get this bird stopped after I get her down.

I've made sure I'm reasonably light, I setup a mission with 6,000lb of fuel and no external stores. I touch down just past the numbers usually and right around 190kts with the speed brake out. I try to raise the nose to aero brake, but it seems like this just puts her right back in the air. Standing on the wheel brakes doesn't really seem to help much either. I made a point of landing at Maykop - Khanskaya, just to have 10,000' of runway available to stop in. No go, rolled right off the end.

What am I missing?

Landing procedure is what you're missing. 190kts is far too fast.

Your approach should be at 21 units of AoA on a 3 degree glideslope (and obviously it will be more once you flare for the landing), the speed will take care of itself.

No, don't free-style it or land differently because 'it feels better' or 'cooler' or whatever. 3 deg glideslope, not 1, not 4 or 5, 3. 21 units AoA. Not 19 or 23, 21.

Thanks, I wasn't paying as much attention to the AoA as I should have been.

I also found out the major problem, my throttle was miscalibrated so I was still getting about 25% thrust at "idle."

Glad you found the issue and checked it. Happy landings smile

GreyGhost, what do you usually like for Vref?

I don't know about the F-15 specifically but most Vref are 1.3 Vs0 (stall speed in the zero [landing] configuration).

Thanks Frederf. That's useful information. A quick look through the Belsimtek manual did not uncover an airspeed reference chart, but page 126 recommends reaching the final approach fix at between 200 and 250 knts (I assume IAS), and flying a final approach speed of not less than 180 knts. I am just getting back into simming and the F-15C, but it seems that about 150 over the fence feels right with everything out, and Belsimtek does say that she gives up flying at 90 knts.

I looked up the real F-15 manual and it's mostly flown by AOA 20-22 units approach. Usually whatever speed that is you'll touchdown about 10 knots slower. Minimum run landing technique says shallower glide (1.5-2.0 degree), 23 units AOA.
