Another from the test. The Mighty Jingles again although this time it's a replay that was sent in. 2 guys squad up,one in a Tiger, the other in a JU87 'spotting'. Works out quite well with an interesting incident whilst he's repairing his tank and something that I think is really cool.

EV's are the Devils matchbox.

I would buy war thunder as a stand alone game,
The models and maps are very well done. Maps are a little small though.
And if the developer made it a realistic Tank sim like SB it would be a must have purchase for armour enthusiasts.

I wish I'd had a tank unlocked that was in the event lineup. I played GF when it first came out, and recently when the US tanks came out, but have only unlocked the M4A1(75MM) and the M16 quad .50 (that one is real hoot). I'm back to working on the German tree, have almost unlocked the Pz IV F2. I don't have much of anything on the Russian side at all. Played a couple of the regular sim battles last night, didn't too bad, actually won a game in German tanks, no easy thing lately.

Have just d/loaded (72 hours inc. updates on my terrible connection!) WoT; though not so taxing on my ancient rig and low b/width as WT, it's a bit dull isn't it? Maps are intriguing first few times, but gameplay seems just hide, wait for 'ping!' point gun at red outline and bang!

I recently got into War Thunder, partly due to this thread. Been playing sim mode with increasing frequency over the past 2 weeks. I must say it is a blast, thus far. Thanks for the heads up about it!

"I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold."

There is a drivers view and binoc view coming soon for the new mode.

In case you haven't seen it in the Gaijin section, this may interest some of you...
