I've been thinking about Skyrim a lot recently and it seems to me that its story, characters and setting would make it ideal for a tv adaptation (either miniseries or a full fledged series). Just give it the Game of Thrones treatment and cast good actors and I think it would be a guaranteed ratings hit.

Half-Life! All the artsy types would love it what with a silent protagonist in a loud world biggrin

More seriously I'd like to see quite a few RPGs get the movie/miniseries treatment such as The Witcher or Mass Effect. Good stories and characters and interesting, though probably quite high budget settings.

Agreed on Mass Effect. It could make a fantastic feature film assuming the right people are involved.

Bear McCreary should compose the score and Chris Nolan should direct! smile

Deus Ex wouldn't do badly either.

We're lucky in that we've had quite a few very good plot games in the last years, most often in RPG but also other titles.

Uncharted is already marked up to become a movie. The latest Tomb Raider wasn't bad either.

In fact seems fair to say that most games today beat a 2h cinema movie by plot depth. However, turning the worthy ones in a GoT style miniseries... that would be brilliant.

Or Goat Simulator

Give those to Michael Bay and see what happens.

Panzer, did you ever play Oblivion? The intrigue and twists of that plot, not to mention the Daedric element, would also make a great miniseries. As would the Aldmeri Dominion Wars that preceded Skyrim. Battle of the Ring Road would be epic.

I have not played Oblivion but I may pick it up from Steam since it's cheap now. Skyrim was the first Elder Scrolls game I ever played.

I'd say Nathan Fillion is a must for any Crimson Skies film, even if it's typecasting. smile

I think Crysis could make a good film if the aliens are changed up a bit. The original FEAR, No One Lives Forever, Fallout...
Wing Commander would probably...oh wait.

And I think everyone would love a good Borderlands film. wink

Kinect really had potential. Science fiction setting, open world, and a big variety of characters and classes.

There's at least seven movies worth of stuff to be made from the material from this game.

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events.
