New series starting this Friday. Been looking at previews on IGN. This looks promising

I'll give it a shot. The film was very self-contained, a circle that completed itself, so I'm not sure how they're altering it for a series.




The Jedi Master

Well based on the first episode I would say it was an incredibly well done series. Looking forward to find out more about the Army of the 12 Monkeys.

Not having watched the Nikita series, I haven't seen Aaron Stanford since X Men 3.

Oddly, half the cast of this show is from there. Amanda Schull was only on one episode, but Noah Bean was on half its run.

I'm liking it so far.

So far I have seen 3 episodes and I really like what they have done with the series. While respecting the movie origins, they have added a lot of elements to make things more interesting for a long series run....

Now I do wonder about what kind of ratings this show will get. If we can't generate much interest even on a site like SimHQ for 12 Monkeys, i have a feeling the ratings won't be very good overall and SciFi will probably end up cancelling. Most serious scifi shows have bigger budgets and less return on investment in terms of viewers. So if people don't start watching more serious scifi shows the execs will probably decide to go back to reality TV crap and such classics like Sharknado.

SciFi shows are like Flight Sims...we are our own worst enemy sometimes.

I don't know how the ratings have done since but the premiere episode had fantastic numbers for SyFy.

I for one am really looking forward to it, but it's not on yet over here.

I think it's doing well so far, it's certainly done better than Constantine by the same point in its run.
