MegaRUMOR:

AMD FSR 3 Might Generate Up To 4 Interpolated Frames & Be Enabled On Driver-Side
The code states that AMD's FSR 3 will have a Frame Generation Ratio of up to 4 interpolated frames which means for each real frame, the technology can generate up to 4 interpolated frames. NVIDIA DLSS 3 also has frame generation technology which will generate one interpolated frame for every single frame when enabled. However, NVIDIA's DLSS 3 doesn't allow users to modify the frame gen value to anything beyond 1 nor it's part of the suite yet.
So, if the rumor is true, a choppy 15FPS may become a smooth to the eye 60FPS in some cases. However, these are "fake frames" (just as with Nvidia) and seemingly will slow reactions time in a "twitch game". We'll see.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Graphics Cards Review Roundup
NVIDIA has just lifted the embargo on the first GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards. Kindly note that today’s embargo only lifts for NVIDIA Founders Edition and all cards that will be priced at MSRP ($399).
Is the RTX 4060 Ti one of the best graphics cards? That largely depends on how many games you play support DLSS 3 and whether you're willing to trade latency for AI-interpolated FPS. Looking at native performance in our GPU benchmarks hierarchy... , the RTX 4060 Ti comes in just ahead of the RTX 3070 at 1080p, but falls behind the RTX 3060 Ti at 1440p and 4K.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 reviews
The first reviews of Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards are now online. AMD has just lifted the embargo for the third member in the RDNA3 family for desktop PCs.
The AMD RX 7600 hits the sweet spot with sub-$300 pricing [reasonable $269 MSRP] but ultimately delivers similar performance as the previous generation RX 6650 XT [that costs slightly more].

AMD Confirms AM5 Socket Will Extend to 2026, Zen 5 to Use RNDA 3.5 GPUs
AMD has delivered an updated roadmap for its Zen CPU platform
the company has extended AM5's lifespan by one year, pushing it out to 2026. It has also revealed better-integrated GPUs for its upcoming CPUs
[AMD] ensures a four-year lifespan for its AM5 socket, ... Though that's not quite as long as AM4's unprecedented six-year lifespan, it's certainly better than the two years Intel has offered for its most recent platforms.
the roadmap confirms AMD will be adding RDNA 3 GPUs to Zen 4 desktop CPUs this year
it sounds like the company is planning a mid-cycle refresh for Zen 4, with upgraded GPUs and possibly a clock bump across the board.
The company will also continue with that strategy for Zen 5, adding what it calls RDNA 3.5 GPUs to the architecture.
[AMD] will probably continue to offer a 16-core, 32-thread flagship CPU with a 170W TDP but made on a more advanced node than those utilizing TSMC's 5nm process. It seems likely AMD will move to TSMC N4 or even N3 for both Zen 4 refresh in 2023 and Zen 5 in 2024.
Good. I was hoping/expecting something like that to happen -- extended AM5 life.

AMD Ryzen CPUs getting cheaper: 5800X3D at $280, 7700X at $289, 7900 at $379 and 7900X3D at $520
All four CPUs were discounted at the same time, clearly indicating that this was a planned price change by the retailer [Amazon]. However, it is unclear if other retailers are to follow suit.

"Starfield" is a game I've pre-ordered -- I'm a fan of Elder Scrolls series and Fallout series. "Starfield" promises to be "a lot more" of the same.
And, being an AMD Fan this Starfield fact interests me.

AMD to Sell New Ryzen 5 5600X3D CPU Only Through Micro Center
The most affordable V-Cache CPU ever will sell for $229.
Though AMD originally priced the 5800X3D at $449 when it launched in April of 2022, it's since come down to $279 at Micro Center and other retailers. .. the 5600X3D version will be even tougher to ignore for those intent on riding the AM4 platform into the sunset. AMD had previously stated that it would still support its previous platform for years to come... Now it seems it wasn't bluffing, and maybe it will offer even more AM4 CPUs in the future.
In our testing, we found the eight-core version to be a fantastic upgrade option for folks using older CPUs, so it seems logical the Ryzen 5 version will also be a worthy purchase.

NVIDIA working on an updated “12V-2×6” power connector with improved safety
12VHPWR to be replaced by 12V2x6 connector
NVIDIA has been working on an updated power connector ever since problems with the 16-pin (12VPHWR) version were first reported. The cases of melting cables were narrowed down to improper connection between the power supply or GPU that was causing overheating.
The PCIe Base 6 connector will be compatible with some of the existing 12VHPWR connectors, but the new version will have different specifications with adjusted sustained power metrics that may require changes to the firmware in power supplies or graphics cards.
NVIDIA and PCI-SIG are now evaluating two options for the cable connector design, which was not chosen yet.

[For Gamers] AMD CPUs Retain Dominance On Linux Platforms, Trails Behind Intel in Windows OS
the reason behind the inclination of Linux consumers towards AMD is the company's commitment to open-source technologies.
One well-known example is AMD's open-source GPU drivers (AMDGPU & AMDKFD), part of the Linux kernel, which the company continuously updates and improves. Moreover, AMD's ROCm (Radeon Open Compute) platform is also an open software platform for users to support HPC and machine learning.
AMD has been growing its presence in the Linux community, although ... behind in Windows, which is a much bigger platform. 96.77% of Steam's user base is on Windows while 1.79% and 1.44% share belongs to OSX and Linux. No one can deny that Windows is the gamer choice

Rumor for now -- but, in keeping with past "under the table" practices aimed at squelching competition.

NVIDIA Reportedly Wants Top GPU AIBs To Work Exclusively With Them, Intel & AMD Still Getting 2nd Grade Support
It is reported that NVIDIA has "threatened" board partners with limited GPU supply in case they opt for Intel, and the measures could extend to a potential ban....[the rumor source] hasn't quoted an official source or statement to back the claim; hence we urge consumers to take this with a grain of salt.
This is not the first time NVIDIA has been stated to do this sort of thing. ....Intel's Alchemist received no proper support from any of the top three AIBs which include ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. The same is the case with AMD as the top SKUs from each brand don't feature a Radeon SKU. For ASUS, it's the ROG STRIX, for MSI, it's the SUPRIM X and for Gigabyte, it's the AORUS Xtreme.

NVIDIA is now shipping GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition with updated power connector
One notable difference in the new design is the inclusion of shortened sense pins. These pins have been reduced in length, effectively eliminating the GPU’s ability to communicate and negotiate with the power supply for higher wattage unless the cable is fully inserted. This modification helps prevent situations where high power is forced through a cable that is not fully seated.
The latest reports suggest that NVIDIA has incorporated this new connector design in the RTX 4090 Founders Edition, the first desktop GPU of this generation to feature the 12+4pin design. This minor alteration is expected to reduce the likelihood of the connector operating in unsupported conditions, such as when a cable is not fully seated and could potentially lead to melting or other issues.

Intel's faux 14th Gen isn't going to deliver the peak cheap gaming CPU we were teased with
Aww, it was looking so good for a second there; for the briefest moment it looked like Intel was going to make its Raptor Lake Refresh range of processors really count. Sadly, it seems like, aside from a barely relevant 200MHz clock speed bump on the upcoming 14th Gen chips, we're not going to see the major re-spec of the new CPU lineup earlier rumors had promised.
Obviously, these are rumors countering rumors, and as such it's hard to know exactly who has the true specifications for the unannounced range of processors, but the latest details look more realistic.
Most on-line publications have been dealing mostly (not always) in "click bait" rumors for quite a while now.
Such behavior has reduced the number of valid subjects to note in this thread.

Intel Planning Price Hike Across All “Core” CPUs As a Part of Restructuring Policy
Intel will reportedly increase the pricing of its current CPU lineup to squeeze out revenue for fab development and restructure the company as a whole.
The news comes from the renowned German outlet PCGamesHardware, where the forum's moderator "Pockerclock" disclosed the information. The source contacted two German suppliers who verified a letter from Intel, which mentioned the price hike. Intel's decision was indeed unexpected, although it could have regional limitations

Intel denies the previous "rumor" -- posted just above. Implies its an outright lie. We'll see,

"Generally, Intel does not comment on speculation regarding price changes to its portfolio. However, we can confirm that Intel has not sent the letter described to customers or partners and has not initiated a price change to its CPU portfolio at this time. We have no further comment to share on the matter."
