This might not be working any more with the latest version. I just tried it again, but it wouldn't load. Pity, it's a favourite mission. You mean 1.2.5? I haven't installed that yet as there were too many bugs reported. I'm not sure whether they're all (hot-) fixed by now. Anyways, in the latest 1.2.4 release, the mission plays just fine, I just flew it in that version. Has anyone else experienced problems with the mission in 1.2.5? Oh, and by the way, are you sure you downloaded the correct version (the one for DCS World)?

A small update: I just tested the DCS World version in the current 1.2.6 and it worked fine.

I downloaded the mission, but can't seem to figure out where to put it in the current folder structures. You could place it anywhere you like. The easiest to reach place is the Saved Games DCS folder, in my case: C:\Users\yurgon\Saved Games\DCS\Missions And then select "My Missions" from the menu on the left side:

I'm not having any luck getting this to run in 1.2.14. But I had an original version for Black Shark 1.02, so fired it up for the first time in 4 years.

I'm not having any luck getting this to run in 1.2.14. Make sure you download the correct file. I just gave it a go and the mission seems to run fine in my 1.2.14 installation. I didn't fly the entire mission because I don't currently have a working HOTAS setup for the Ka-50, but it loaded alright and the first text message was displayed okay. Just make sure you download the version for DCS World ( direct link). Edit: This is my first post on SimHQ in a long time, so just to be sure there's no misunderstanding: The text " HOTAS" in my post just contained a link to Amazon (cross-checked with 4 browsers on 2 devices). I did *not* add that link, apparently SimHQ does that (or incorporates a 3rd party service which does that). I don't intend to discuss this or complain about it right here, I just want to make sure everybody understands that some kind of software might change (my) posts in a way that they look like social advertising, which is not my intention and apparently out of my control. The only link I *did* include is the one to the mission file, labeled "direct link".

Yurgon,
Thanks...I had the wrong file. Works fine now that I placed it in my Users\Saved Games\DCS\Missions folder
Best regards.

Ja bestimmt. I bought Uh-1H Huey and Mi-8 during the DCS Christmas sale and thought I'd get back to flying the Ka-50. I was a medical crew member on an helicopter air ambulance team for 10 years, so am happy that there are so many great chopper sims now.

As I recall, the deployment campaign is particularly well done, give that a whirl if you are looking for missions. I remember it seeming to ramp,up in difficulty as you progress, so,it's very approachable early on.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.†-Robert Heinlein

I agree, the deployment campaign is excellent.
I also like the single missions "Air show", which requires a bit of timing and a little finesse with the controls, as well as "Courier".
A long while ago, I started to fly the Medvedev 2 campaign coop with a buddy, but we never finished it. As I remember it, the missions were pretty well designed, but the strong winds made it rather difficult to hit targets with Vikhrs unless the wind direction was taken into account in order to avoid cross-wind shooting.
