A section of armored vehicles and dismounts, with the help of close combat aviation clears enemy fighters from the bombed village of Gravia. Prior to the ground attack, scout helicopters identified a large number of enemy defenders within the town, and forwarded those positions to the fire control center. Shortly after, the town was bombarded with rocket and artillery fire, then attacked with close combat aviation aircraft.
A large number of defenders were killed or fled north to a neighboring village. Those who stayed established stiff resistance using the rubble to conceal anti aircraft and anti tank weapons.
A friendly force, consisting of tanks, APCs, dismounted infantry, and attack helicopters battered their way through Gravia, clearing block by block of entrenched enemy forces. Throughout the fight the enemy attempted to reinforce the village from the north but was held back by aircraft screening the perimeter of the village.
