Huh. Just installed it a couple of days ago and all seems fine.
Didn't change any settings on my end.

Hi thewoo1,

have WOFF 2.04.

Nvidia driver 344.75 works fine with no FPS loss that I can see.

Are you certain you have a good DX9 d/l? Your FPS hit sounds like
the kind of loss you'd get from using the old shaders.

Hope you get your probs resolved.

RS

A copy should be in your OBD folder.
I think it still called the "Toolbox" folder

I just let it download 347.09, and it changed all my setting back to default!

Grrr....stupid programmers. Learn to program so as to leave settings as is! cuss

thanks Duke -

do i extract those back into my main woff folder

(i already see in it some dx8 and dx9 files ... can i tell if those are 'ok' or newer than the ones in the toolbox ... or at v2.04 install would it already have put the right v9 ones in there for me?

Not noticed any fps differences with the new drivers but
DX9 compressed exe file is in toolbox folder
\Toolbox\DX9Redist
The link is in a Troubleshooting sticky topic in this forum, and in the FAQ section 40).

Remember once unpacked to run dxsetup.exe from folder you unpack to.

Changing a driver is easier these days but is still effects things at a low level so with ANY driver change you need to double check settings, sometimes they add new features, or alter some.

On a positive note, I think the new driver may have solved my DX9 shader problem. Still have to fly a few more missions before I claim victory, however.

Hi Polovski,

I too have downloaded the new Nvidia driver which came out yesterday.

Should I adjust WOFF settings from the WOFF game OR thru Nvidia's game settings panel instead?

Thank you,
Stefnuts

Hi Stefnuts,

You should always set your video settings in the Nvidia control panel, and always set them to "override application settings".

Well that's good to hear. Hopefully congratulations are not premature.
I just downloaded "new" drivers three days ago.
Looks like I was a bit hasty. I'll check out the brand-new ones later today.

Am I missing something here? When I go to OBD Software/WOFF/toolbox, I see no Dx9Redist. Maybe why I can't run enhanced shaders without crashing. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Errr...do you have 2.00+?
It was added then and should be in there.

Disregard. If you are trying advanced shaders you must.
Go to the troubleshooting thread and just click on the link there for DX9.
That's how I did it.

I'm getting close. I've got DX-9 shaders enabled, using Nvidia driver 347.09. I can fly a complete mission, but then still lock up on final approach when landing. Still need a little tweaking.

My settings:

WOFF

thanks guys it was the supersampling setting which changed after update...btw slick Wilhelm I have seen the posts about using overide and not enhance the setting. But I notice the windscreen was not completely clear when using overide...when using enhanced the screen was clear

Oddly your WOFF screen is different than mine.
I do not have that big blank spot to the lower left. I do have the Fokker Add-on (I will guess you don't) but it still looks like your missing something.

I don't have the Fokker add-on. Actually, I did, but I did not make a backup and lost it when I had to re-install. I still need to purchase it again. I will be purchasing it soon.
