Noob here, been playing just the last couple of days.
Inspired by Rook_336th post, I made a cartload of credits slaughtering pirates with the Sidewinder in a mining system somewhere. Dogfighting among the asteroids is so cool...
Anyway I sold the Sidewinder, bought a Viper and went exploring. Then got bored by the lack of action, found another mining system and wanted to do some dogfighting, but realized that the Viper is not as maneuverable as the Sidewinder.
So I bought an Eagle, but kept the Viper. Now I'm ready to start slaughtering pirates again, but not sure how to get back the Viper when the time comes. At the shipyard the Viper is listed under "stored ships" or somesuch, but for the life of me I can't find out how to swap between the 2.
Gracias for any pointers by more experienced commanders.

Your ship will be stored in whatever station you left it at. When looking at your "shipyard" the keystroke mapped to Next Panel Tab under the "Interface Mode" of your controller will swap you between tabs and you can select your other ship and board it.

Take one of those bounty missions that pay like 170K and hope to Jesus you and a few random police can take the Anaconda down, that's what I did

LOL, when Rook_336th posted about the "conga line of pirates" taking their turn at blasting him in a mining field I thought that maybe there could be rich pickings there. And so there were... plenty of bounty shooting up bad guys in relative safety, since the space cops are there too.. At one time I got 80k after contributing in blasting an Anaconda out of the sky... the standard Sidewinder holds its own pretty well. Must have made upwards of 300k in about three hours. Plus it's a heck of a lot of fun. Just watch your lasers and in the heat of battle don't fire on a clean ship, or you'll be the hunted

Mining fields are ridiculous for getting bounties, they're basically free for all combat zones. They should really dial it back, I can't imagine being able to make any money mining when you're dodging gunfire every 30 seconds!
