Hello all,

I am presently using a Cougar with TM RCS pedals and am considering the purchase of a Warthog system. I saw a post by HomeFries indicating that having a Warthog used in conjunction with a Cougar is the best of both worlds and would allow me to use my RCS pedals. Could someone please try to explain to me how this would work?

If space is an issue or you consider selling the Cougar you could use one of these adaptors to allow the TM RCS pedals to connect to a USB port: http://realsimulator.com/html/rusba.html

T.A.R.G.E.T. recognizes inputs from the Cougar HOTAS (including RCS pedals that are connected to the Cougar HOTAS), and the Warthog HOTAS (also the Cougar MFDs and the T.1600M stick). It can combine those into a single virtual controller.

So, you have your Cougar HOTAS with RCS pedals hooked up, and your Warthog HOTAS hooked up. Configure to use the inputs you wish to use, and ignore the rest. You could just set the Cougar HOTAS off to the side, simply using it as a means to get your RCS pedals to be an input along with the Warthog HOTAS. If you like to fly helicopters too, then you could mount the Cougar throttle tilted 90 degrees nose down, and use it as a collective. smile

Thanks for the reply fellas. CyBerkut, are you saying that it's all done with the TARGET software?

What I was describing, which is what I think HomeFries was alluding to, would be accomplished with T.A.R.G.E.T. software, yes. It can combine the controllers I listed into a single virtual controller.
