Of course it can. They've been flying since the '80s. biggrin

That's interesting. To me at least it looks like an F-117 both head on and from behind. I wonder if anyone ever confused them in spy shots or anything.

You know... I thought the same thing...

Also, while the inward vertical tail on F-19 is opposite of the real F-117... its exactly the same as the prototype Have Blue that the F-117 got developed from.

Also note that the Yf-17 and F/A-18 were already created... a decent guess it might be termed F-19.

This makes me think that... some airman saw the Have Blue prototype... maybe in flight at distance, and drew a few pics, that once fleshed out into a 3d guesstimate resulted in the look of the F-19. I can imagine the Pentagon brass must have been relieved the F-19 wasnt much like the 117! But you can see that from some angles... it really may have been from an insider after all....

The ironic thing is the F-19 would've been far more impressive than the F-117 was. The F-117 should've been called an A-11 or something (by that I mean the plane between the A-10 and A-12, not the notional CIA plane that preceded the A-12 Oxcart as shown here: http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/graham-warwick/2007/10/oxcart-a-new-cia-history-of-th/ ).

It was a dedicated ground attack plane like an A-6. The F-19 was more like the F-35--a multirole stealth fighter capable of AA and AG combat. I liked flying the F-19 in flight sims...the F-117 is pretty dull.

Nice build on that model.

As for it flying, In the R/C model world I'm just about convinced that even a borg cube would fly, if made of Styrofoam and mounted with a sufficiently powerful ducted fan. biggrin

Yeah, I'm seeing RC videos of the F-117 and even the MiG-31 Firefox flying, I guess you're right. smile

Yup. In fact I recently started playing with a fine example of missile guidance code posted about a month ago (Blitz3D)...

I'll tell you what I've told my wife (and I really don't want to let her down), I'll have *something* out by the time I turn 50 (in 22 months, I believe). I'm sure I'll post an epic progress thread way before then though.

F-19 is still my passion and I won't quit until it's done, thanks for remembering. smile

Wow, I'm spanish from mother spain, i'm far from videogames or aircraft development but F-19 is the only game that I played in my child-youth, teenager-age, post-teenager and ripeness. Initially i've played this game on a spectrum+2 8bit computer, continued on my pc's and actually left f19 to play his second version F-117A NIGHTHAWK STEALTH FIGHTER 2.0

Is a hope, a dream, a light into my brain to play this game remake. F19 or F117 is the same in equivalent versions. I'm not aware of the giant work u're facing, the only thing I can do is to wait for ur decision: to be or not to be f-19 3.0
