So, besides gog.com there appears to be a version from the UK which has all 5 of the Sturmovik
titles!

It's called Ultimate Edition and the box (When you view it on amazon.com) says "Extended Play".
I actually bought it as I don't like electronic downloads by themselves only. (Too many companies have gone under!)

I was wondering since the 4.12 patch is out, Do I have to follow the same procedure to update this
game for server use?

I'm talking about the Sticky for Sturmovik 1946 and the downloads to update that, as it were.

Hi!

Step by step:

Install Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946 and you get version v4.07m.

The apply updates v4.08m, v4.09m, v4.10m, v4.11m, v4.11.1m, v4.12m, v4.12.1m, v4.12.2m one after another into the same folder, where you have installed Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946.

You then have the most recent version.

You have to have the same version like the server to join in Multiplayer.

Some of them require a mod pack.

With Win8.1 do not install to the default directory [C:\Program Files (x86)] Create another directory, like C:\Games, or whatever you like and install it there. Win8 and 7 will prevent you from changing ini files if you install to the default location. If you've already installed it to the default location, just copy/paste it somewhere else. Always have a back-up copy of a vanilla installation stored somewhere, particularly if you intend to install mods.
