My first LP was Styx Paradise Theater. Oh man did the packaging set the mood, even before you lowered the stylus!

From the happy front cover...

Larger actual LP cover...

To the sad back cover...

The whole thing was just classy...

Colored artwork was embedded in the actual vinyl (B-Side)...

Just freggin' cool, IMO!

I've always been fond of this one, and the fine music inside.

Some I like. Bruce Dickinson, "The Chemical Wedding." Everything is by Blake, and he does a great song called "Jerusalem" that builds on Blake's poem of the same name.

Kansas' 3rd album, "Masque." Art is Giuseppe Arcimboldo, "Water."

My favorite Styx covers:

Inner sleeve art from Yes, "Close to the Edge." RIP Roger Dean!

The European cover for Blind Faith's album.

Can't show it here.

I always thought Tommy Shaw of Styx was one of the prettiest girls in any rock band of the eighties.

Seriously though, you guys have some great picks there. Styx and Journey bring back more school-days memories than any others. Thanks for the memories.

Some of my favorite Iron Maiden covers (and albums).

Some Crowbar, I always felt their covers complimented the music much of which concerns depression, adversity and the pain of loss.

And some great Sepultura covers

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Is that Frank Zappa at the far right of the Alice Cooper cover?

My dad had this one growing up. I probably looked at this album more than any other in that time period.

I'd definitely put here all early Marillion arts. Just some examples, there are many more.
