Hi guys,

Support button on the WOFF site doesn't work for me.

I don't want to bore people witless here with my probs.
(Yes, it is a "run-time" crash, but with a wrinkle.)
If you could let me know how to contact you, would be appreciated.

Thanks so much for this wonderful sim
RS

Hi Duke,

oh yes, OBD support is superb.

Which is just as well for an ignoramus like me.

But you see when I click on the Support button
I get the following message:
"Could not perform this operation because the
default mail client is not properly installed".
Whatever that means.

I'm afraid I've exhausted what little understanding
I have, hence my plea.

All the best

RS

That means that usually if you click the support button, your email provider opens with automatically Support@overflandersfields.com as receipient. But if you have a provider, where you first have to log in to and then open email pages etc. (AOL for instance), the button can not open it directly. That's why your message appears. So what you need to do is to log in into your emails, open a new email and manually copy and paste Support@overflandersfields.com as receipient. HTH

Just send an e-mail to:

support@overflandersfields.com

If you are having a run time crash and have ruled out temperature and mem issues then its most likely to be DX9 shaders so try Default shaders in workshops.

If it then runs ok then update your DX9 using the official MS DX9 redist - see our FAQ or the sticky troubleshooting thread in this forum.

If problems still persist - let us know what card you are using - you may need to turn cloud shadows to 0.

Thanks fellows,

for the advice. Problem fixed now.

Not a DX9 issue.

I think the error I made was to install V2 while Ankor's and Aris' mods were enabled.

All I did was go back to a restore point that was good, disable the mods and reinstall V2
and the patch, voila.

This is probably in the FAQs somewhere, but I didn't see it.

Apols for taking your time.

Yeah as a rule, carefully remove all mods before we can support any issue. Also best to do that with a clean fresh install of WOFF 1 if any problems before installing WOFF Expansion.
