User made mini-campaign "Luftkampf um die Chir Front"

The Veteran Missions work without any waypoints so the player will fly CAP with his Raven swarm receiving information about enemy movements via comms.

Game hints:
Command your swarm and order them to stay close to you.

Sometimes it's recommended to attack the enemy together with the Falcon swarm.

Have you run out of ammunition or your aircraft is damaged, the player is supposed to resign his swarm out of a combat situation.

Once the patrol area is clear of enemy units the swarm leader will be informed so the swarm can form up and return to homebase.

Known bugs:
On take-off some of the aircraft in the swarm won't be able to get their engines started or might crash on the runway and as a consequence ground control won't give any clearance to take off. In this case just restart the mission again.

Infantry units won't shoot at night.

Player needs to enable the autopilot after landing in order to get the "Mission Accomplished" message.


BTW - This mini campaign has to be flown mission to mission.

I play the first minutes of first mission of this campaign, and I think that "SP" players will like this. wink

I couldn't get the new single player missions to work, kept saying these missions are unavailable for your account. That is until I found out they only worked in offline mode.

Though to be honest I am not a single mission kind of person, I prefer a good dynamic campaign/career.

The missions are promising, but I can't make them work right. Something always goes wrong at takeoff. Either my schwarm don't get their engines started as suggested might happen in the readme, or they do, but just sit on the runway forever and never takeoff. I'm pretty terrible at taxiing the 109 as yet, so that might be part of it. Could be my occasional off-taxiway excursions, or ham-fisted runway positioning are messing them up.

I definitely like the atmosphere around the base, though. The campaign mode could use a bit of that. When I do go up alone, I never encounter another unit anywhere else on the map though, so it must be important that my buddies take off to get the rest of the events rolling.

Ah, watching the autopilot give it a try on the external view demonstrated the problem. It wasn't giving them enough room to straighten out on the runway, so they never reported ready for takeoff. Also, I was reading the map wrong and not travelling to the right places. Done properly, it's nice. There's a very large and colorful ground battle and plenty of enemy aircraft. Good stuff. I probably just needed a little more hand-holding in the briefings.
