Hi everyone!

Hahahaa....so I just got BOB 2 limited edition and it installed with no problems on my machine!

Here are my specs:

My PC is from Dell:

Intel I 7 chipset
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Nvidia 750 ti card with the most recent driver
16 MB of RAM

Now, I did get a message about Direct X but the game installed & plays fine!

If you want me to post more, let me know how I can help you!

Cap'n Stefnuts!

Update:

I just installed the 2.12 patch and ZERO problems! No "directx" flag at all! Good to go!

Yes, BoB2 installs, loads, and runs fine on Win8,
until you have run the 3D world for about 2 minutes,
whereupon you get a crash announcing a problem with
d3dx9.dll, which is a key part of DirectX 9.0c .
We do not currently have a graphics coder in the bdg,
who can track down and fix this problem.

If this is not your experience, I would be very interested
in hearing it. If you are able to run in the 3D for 20 minutes
or more without the crash, this is quite significant, and
suggests we should try to figure out what is different
between your setup and that of others whose programs are
consistently crashing.

Hi PV1,

Sure!

Run the 3d world eh?

Does a single player experience count or are you looking for a campaign or something?

I'll try out both!

No, I'm quite sure this applies to any flight.

I don't have W8, so I'm not a useful data point for
this. But if you are able to run, I'm sure there
will be people dropping by with questions for you.
We have had only one person come by and say they
were able to run with W8, but they never posted any
further responses. It may be they found they were
getting crashes, but declined to say so.

Yep, crash after a couple minutes dogfighting has been my issue unless I run on XP emulation mode, windowed, 1024 x 768 resolution. Havent tried for six mths though I admit.
