i tried both running the game with no antianalying from the nvidia control and also with the directxtweaker from TSH website ( i dont use the TSH v4 how ever...just a normal install and patch 1.01F)
and the frame rate in the A/A mode is still slow....i have no idea what can be done

For me, turning off anti-aliasing has always "resolved" the A2A slowdown, since it's turning on anti-aliasing that appears to cause the issue. I don't think I've ever tried DXTweaker with just plain 1.01F, so not sure if that will work. Are you sure DXTweaker is kicking in? You can easily tell because the "banding" on the MFDs / sky is fixed. IIRC it's possible that DXTweaker may appear to be working but in fact not doing anything.

I've never had the A2A slowdown issue if using TSH and DXTweaker, and would suggest you try TSH. Have you installed the Direct X "June update"?

Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up Liron.
I can confirm it, one of the recent driver updates fixed the AA slowdown for me too.
Great! smile

Gents, what NVidia driver version are you using?

Jane's F-18 has a G-Limiter. It won't let you pull more G's unless you use the G-limit override. Default key is "Y" on the Jane's F-18 Keycard template. Using the G-limit O/R wil cause the master caution light to come on, it's just a warning. You can download the keycard at our website http://vfa-41.net/FA-18_Utilities.php

Well, the AA slowdown is back with the recent NVIDIA drivers.
I assume there is no way to use a different driver for one game and the latest for the others.
I will try out dxtweaker, to see if it helps the situation and report back.

I can confirm that DxTweaker is still a valid workaround for AA slowdown.
Good news.

Just passing by to inform you that the latest Nvidia drivers (v.365.19 released for the new 'Doom' game) have totally solved my framerate issues with Jane's F/A-18. Playing now smooth as silk with DxTweaker (I need it to run the sim under Win 8.1). No issue whatsoever with AA radar mode. Me=happy Andro.

Fly safe,

Andro.

Sadly the new NVIDIA driver did NOT fix the AA Slowdown in my Windows 7 machine. I didn't try DxTweaker since it used to work fine without it using a much earlier driver.

Is there now one later than 365.19? I will take a look tonight, but 365.19 (without DXTweaker) did nothing on my Win 7 64 bit machine.

Hi Guys,

recently I installed janes fa18 with tsh v3 to 2 computer:
1. a very low end in my office (msi J1800i with built in cpu and vga card)
2. a old i3 clarkdale with nvidia gtx 9700.
both using win7/64.

surprisingly, it works with no problem in no.1 system.
with no.2 I get a lot of slow down and hangs and ctd,
then I use dxtweaker ver. 1k, it seems to solve the slow down and ctd,
but now the movie is garbled.

is this because of nvidia driver?
is there a cure for garbled movies?
please advise.
