I gotta say, I was kicking myself for buying this in advance. In fact, I was kicking myself for buying it at all. I still have my misgivings about how the RRG affair ended up, about WW2 planes in DCS overall and usually a general lack of interest in German planes. I wasn't too excited about the FW-190 when it came out, it feels so distant from the player IMHO, even less connected to you than the A-10C.
But when I started this little beauty, and when the engine started and the vibrations started, and when I mistreated her by mucking up the tail wheel and taxiing too hard, I fell face first for it! When I managed the take off half decently (still an incredible danger to anyone on the same runway, or same airfield for that matter) it proved a dream to fly. In the P-51 I keep having to make trim adjustments all over the place, and in the -190 I keep trying to find out which speed and RPM I have to match for it to fly straight, but the -109 is so lovely to fly. It responds well, the trim comes simply to me, and it handles like a dream in a dogfight! I have positively no regrets about buying this wonderful module!
15/10.

15/10. I agree its a great aircraft, it flys great, just dont get to slow in a dog fight or you cook the engine real quick!

I love the Kurfürst.
It's just that it tries to kill me on take-off. And landing.
Other than that it's a joy to fly. But then I'm a big fan of all DCS aircraft released so far.

but where is that ? Can't find that section on dcs site eventhough I'm logged in. Cheers, Slug When I log on to DCS it brings up the "DCS Site Series" and on the right side right under the Mig 21 is the BF109K-4 Kurfurst, I think we all know the drill from there. Good luck, I will wait until tomorrow to d/l, you will need DCS world 1.2.12 Open Beta in order to fly her.

You have to install the DCS Open Beta client.
Then start DCS Open Beta and install the K4 from within the module manager.
