From the US of course. They have a bunch. They where either aid of bought on the cheap way before this conflict.

The longer this goes the more gear gets returned to service by the UA. They inherited an insane about of stuff after the fall of the Soviet Union. THey also have the modern domestic infrastructure to produce pretty modern up to date vehicles. However, those have been getting sold abroad to other countries.

It is interesting to see so many BMP-2 and lesser armor blown to crap everywhere. Light armor just can not survive well now a days. Coupled with the fact most of the Ukraine army where civilians not so long ago. Probably taking way higher losses due to lack of experience.

On way older tanks getting returned to service after being static displays.... Would prefer to be an T34-85 over a bmp-2 any day.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Says something about Russian build quality that the old IS-3 still ran.

Who made the IS3 anyways. Maybe its Ukrainian build quality under the Soviets? Kharkov made a hell of a lot of tanks for the Soviet Union before it imploded. There was some footage a few months back of guys getting a T34-85 to run that had been sitting as a static display for decades. My guess is that you could get an old M4 sherman to run after playing gate guard for 60 years. Probably the same with an M48. Now an M1? I think not. Way to much complex in there.

I think an M1 would fail to run after its been sitting like 30 days. biggrin

Figured they may have acquired them from some car salesmen in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Tank depot isn't that hard to find wink

Video footage of a T-34 that has been buried in mud since WW2.
They dragged it out and with minimal effort got it started.
