This definitely falls into the home movie department. But it's cute to see a kid go from fear to joy and occasionally back again. The first minute has her reaction to the takeoff which is the most charming part.

That's pretty cool!
Introducing flight, especially when you can actually see what's outside, rather than being stuck inside a giant aluminium tube, is always much more fascinating.

She wasn't watching a Miyazaki film earlier, was she? wink

You got some lovely scenery around there too.

Wow, you sat through the whole thing! I'm impressed! biggrin Regarding Miyaziki, yeah I think she's seen them all. Laputa is her favorite and humming it really seemed to calm her down.

I also hum and sing in gliders.. and was only embarassed once, when on a calm evening they remarked they could hear me on the ground ;=)

I think it really shows how nice gliding is, from cutting edge planes in the mountains to low-budged funflights on a warm autum day, there is a beauty in it on all levels and it is most accessible form of GA, here you can solo with 14...

and you can rightfully call yourself a very lucky man and worlds coolest dad... at least until they get older ;=)

Lol! "That was fun....now get me out of this thing!"
Sailplanes are some of the most fun you can have up there.

I loved the "put the window on. Window on. Window"

and the "don't go higher"

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.
