If you have alpha access and at least one ship in the hangar, for the next week, you can fly any of the 5 currently flyable ships.

Always wanted to try a Hornet, but didn't want to upgrade your Aurora because you weren't sure that you'd like it? Now's your chance to test fly it for a week.

Did you miss out on the M50 or 350R sale, but think you've got what it takes to have the fastest lap time on a race circuit? Hop in the M50 or 350R and show us what you're made of in the SC universe (current state).

Above all... have fun!

Neat, I would have missed that without this topic. I only have the Connie and I was annoyed that they only gave me the Aurora to try during the alpha (they could have given Connie owners something a big closer to the Connie to test...). Do the 5 flyable include any bigger ship (the Freelancer maybe?).

No, the only flyable ships are the small fighters at the moment. Aurora, 300i, 350r, hornet and m50. None of the larger ships or multicrew ships are ready yet.

And we as its creators don't feel ready to hear your annoyed jabber about it.

Oh well, it would still have been fun to try them ... if the launcher had not decided that it needed to redownload the whole bloody thing after the latest small patch (182mb) went wrong - now I'm looking at a 19Gb download yet again :s
