Good to hear, so far I've only had a frozen main menu Yep, that makes two of us. Change log has not been released yet, as content has not been decided. We'll see!

same here ... but did managed to get into the tutorials .. but then ran into the nvidia 5 series texture problems
Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.
The only thing more accurate than incoming fire, is incoming friendly fire

Change log for beta 2.03: - Fix the MTU discovery code - Reduced mission system causes for kicking players from game while in hyperspace - Prevent the client from dropping connections with an ED server while we are waiting on responses from the server - Crash fix for some cargo drops using the wrong symbols - Stopping the divide by zero when the light is obscured by the planet - Crash fix for text box list - Prevent star system errors clogging the server - Cut down the logging of overdue machines to avoid making an overloaded server any worse - Fix players not being rewarded (and not punished) for killing wanted ships - Stop the galaxy map binding while in a hyperspace transition - Some guards for entering bad star names into the galaxy map nav bar which end up being interpreted as generated names - Ensure that objects shut down cleanly when closing down ships and stations - Clear AI groups before destroying them - Enable mouse headlook while docked - Fix for missing stars after opening galaxy map and main menu during same transition - Handle the case where a StellarForge request times-out but something else has already generated the same star system - If a get star system request fails the signal we’ve been disconnected from the server - Right hand HUD element sometimes displays blank now fixed - Prevent Cockpit panel focus when we're in the preflight check - Limpet network fixes - Update patrol paths around stations - Prevent spurious first disconnect if it isn’t really a disconnect
And my client is to new Edit: Now I am a bit ..... About an hour before the shut down I had a crash while in a station, just after upgrading to a Viper. After starting again, when I launched from the station the guns activated and fired automatically, and the station killed me. Insurance set me back to 3k. When the shut down came I was at ~6.5k. Now I logged in 2.03 again and with the launched the guns went of again inside the station Back to the SidewinderFor whatever reason I am still in a Viper, even though I couldn't afford the insurance. Maybe that's the loan they were alking about?!?!

Just jumped in game and planetary graphics still porked. I just have this weird big black disc where the planet should be and I am running amd GPU, so its not the NVidia issue.
Ohh well.
Give it a rest for a while longer I guess.

I also found that the game doesn't seem to be storing the results of my scans of various stellar bodies. I seem to be able to re-sell the same data over and over. Edit that post and never mention this again. I have system data bugs to exploit...

... The bulletin board missions are a huge improvement and a great way to explore the new systems. Hopefully the rewards will increase with reputation as has been suggested, much more preferable than grinding back and forth with cargo. I think the rewards generally improved already, but especially the combat missions can make you some good money now. E.g. in the last two hours I had a 10k and a 20k war zone mission (4 & 9 enemies), and a Bounty Hunter mission for 40k. The latter was an Eagle "disguised" as a Unidentified Signal Source (USS). The combat minded pilot will love the USS and the Resource Extraction sites - there are often some higher value bandits around; I already had two Asps for 7k and 12k, and plenty of Cobras and Eagles for 2-6k. Maybe not the same cr/h as with Cobra and bigger, but definately more action...

Well, i was going to raise a ticket, but I thought I'd go and do a bit more surveying first so I haven't had time, though. Exiting the game and going back showed all the objects I'd scanned being reset so....fill yer boots..;). I suspect it's either something to do with the servers or it's like that on purpose just now to encourage surveying. If it's the second, it works.

Exccellent,
just back from a birthday party and had to try the latest beta. Wasn`t able to get into the game for more than a few seconds before, just played one hour, rock-stable now. Had some hick-ups when leaving SC.
Pity that hauling goods seems to be not economic though. But then, seems the focus of the devs is on missions in this beta.
The final game will be a winner for sure.
