I just installed a GTX 970, comming from AMD the past 6-7 years it's a bit painful to get all things working again.

The problem I have is that when I add post effects, the screen goes black.
I can hear that things are working in the background. Uncheck Post effects and picture comes back.
It does not help to set HDR to off, or uncheck any of the other tickboxes for that matter.

I run the latest Nvidia driver, which seems a bit buggy IMHO.
Running Nvidia surround 5760x1080

Any ideas? Tried to search on the issue but could not find anything.

Have you tried looking here: http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewforum.php?f=353 ? I run a GTX780 with an older set of drivers and I haven't experienced any issues (touch wood).

Have allready found the culprit, bezel compensation on nvidia surround is not working well with the latest drivers. removed compensation nd it works well again.
