Every year they hold a race on the Navy base on Coronado Island in San Diego, where all the cars are classics or older historical cars. They have different classes, and I went a few years ago with a press pass, but this time I had to shoot from the stands so I didn't get as many different angles.

Thanks Nick. I didn't ask anyone if they were real or replicas, but it was kind of a car show with classic cars, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were genuine.

Nice stuff. It's nice to see classics, but far better to see them getting exercise.

I get the impression that you spent a bit of time fighting with the sun in the exposures.

Thanks Gopher. Probably the exposure issues you're seeing are self-inflicted - I usually have my camera set to compensate by 3/4 of a stop for air shows, because sometimes they're a little silhouetted against the sky, but forgot to tone it down for these shots.
