Is there a slight upgrade in the graphics, from ROF? What I really want to know, I guess, is whether or not I should pick this up if I'm not really interested in the Illya Mourametz. I do like the idea of not having to meet Fokker Triplanes all the time. I've probably run into more of them, on line, than ever existed in the Imperial German Air Service. I can fly my Nieuport 17 more often. That might be a reason to buy it, right there.
Also, can you get rid of the instrument icons or are they always there?

I haven't noticed any difference in graphics, and I'm using the same settings as I do in RoF. UI for that is virtually the same, by the way. As for the instrument icons, I've only hopped into a couple of quick missions, but I don't remember seeing anything in settings to allow to turn that off, now that I think about it... I'd be curious to see if somebody else knows.

Here's a relaxed video, just some loose formation and fly-bys of the Ilya Muromets to check it out.

Nice little video. I'm enjoying the beta campaign that comes with it - up to mission 4 which has some neat challenges including a night landing.

If you are not interested in that big bird, just shoot it down wink

I have bought it to have some theatre with no jets (Camel/Dr.I), LOL.

I still hope the N11 gets exchanged for an Sikorsky S-16 and the albi DIII for a halb DII which would be more historially accurate for the timeframe of the map..

(the suporting germans coming to the help of the austro-hungarians had stuff like Fokker DIIs and so on.. and the imperial russian airfoce only very few planes with synchronized guns)

I think there also where strutters on the russian side?

No upgrade in graphics
, still the same fuzzy looking rear view, squared objects that should be round, metal surfaces that is looking like a 19cetr art painting, pilots face straight from a comic book and strange graphic shape on the edges of the rudder and wings. So the graphics are still the same and needs to be improved if this game is going to 2018.

I can tell you, like you, I did not care about the ugly slow IM nor the Cold Russia front, the $20,- only to support 777. But things can change and believe me the IM game is great. It is only $20,- and you get all the extras like weapon mods.

There is not a single Triplane in this game, but online, I never could find a server.

The instrument icons are changed, I think an real big improvement and can be switch off.

Negative: it is still in development phase, so have Patience. October seems to be the final release.

Skins can be used from Rof, I know that rof does have russian and german/AH east front skins.
But be aware this game is still not official released it is still a beta, the IM does have only one skin.

reading the site: release date October 2014, twoweeks

Do I need to re-buy all the same aircraft I have already purchased in RoF to be able to use them in IM?
