ONLY PROBLEM I've had so far is when I'm flying low the trees seem to "pop up" instead of already being there. My specs: P4 3.0, 1024 mb memory, ATI 9700 Pro Game specs: 1024 by 768, 16 bit color, pretty much everyting set to medium.

I run Win 98 with an NVidia card, 128 meg latest chip. I start the game and 9 times out of 10 I don't get the setup screen and if I do I still can't get the sim part to run. My video drivers are 45.23. I have had no problem running anything else. I'm also running an AMD 2600 on a board with VIA chipset. All drivers are updated and LOMAC has been reinstalled about 6 times. I have used every trick I can think of and still no luck!

First thing that should be done for any kind of problem with the setup screen, is shut off Zone Alarm or any other Firewall clients. Try it if you're running one.... -Outlaw

A7N8X mobo problem.
When you play MP, the other planes and missiles warp and jump all over the sky. The other players see you as smooth and ok.
If eveyone has an A7N8X then it's ok for everyone.
Apparently this is a known issue, wish I would have known before I bought the game. I either would have put off buying it, or bought another mobo before release.

I can bet with 99% certainty that on THAT MODERN OF A RIG he'd be better off with XP.
It may have sounded crass, but it was actually an honest suggestion.

In game sounds were there, but after a restart, they are gone. The GUI sounds are still there, as well as the normal sounds in the rest of my games. I have an Audigy 1 with the latest (5.12?) drivers and DX9.0b. In addition, my preferences keep changing from where I set them, one speicifcally is the CIV TRA. When I attempt to change the LO-MAC folder, as well any of the CONFIG files from READ-ONLY, it changes but reverts back to read only. Weird & wacky stuff.
BTW, I already deleted & reinstall, defragged & scanned.

What WW2 Fighter pilots say about Angels and Airspeed:
"Nice job of getting down to the basics - love your choice of a cover!" Col. Clarence 'Bud' Anderson
"I have enjoyed reading angels and airspeed, it should prove good reading for all interested in combat tactics and their application related to the fluid air environment and state of technology in WWII years. All the best as you make it available." - Col. Charles McGee - Tuskegee Airman

Have had adifficult time getting the Options to stick. 1. Labels keep reappearing 2. Heat blurr doesnt always stay on 3. Loose the civ yes option
Setting up the Cougar has been no picnic especially for viewing with the Hat switch. Can not seem to get a smooth transition view with this. Not a lot of options for the stick in the radar modes.
Sound will disappear after getting outside view in the F15.
Serious frame rate reductions after being hit by missles
All settings are at medium Running Asus A7N8X with ATI 9800 AMD 2800
Graphics at medium still getting FPS under 15

To make sure the options settings are saved, turn the read only attributes off for the lomac folder.

I think I nailed the install problem. This is what I did: 1- Uninstall Demo & clean the directory of any remaining files. 2-Run Norton Win Doctor/Registry Sweep to get rid of any leftover registry entries from the Demo. (you can try any other registry cleaner). 3-Turn OFF Norton Anti Virus Auto Protect. 4-Install using a CD-ROM instead of my CD/RW. Worked like a charm, and runs pretty smooth, nearly 30 FPS in-cockpit with default Medium settings @ 1024x768x32bit res and 4X FSAA and 8Xaniso. My system Specs: WINXP Pro with SP1 and DX 9.0b. Athlon XP 2700 1 GB PC2700 RAM ASUS A7N8X WITH NFORCE 3.13 DRVRS ATI 9800PRO(128MB)with OMEGA 3.9 AUDIGY GAMER SOUNDCARD X-45 HOTASACER 40X CDROM AND PLEXTOR 40/12/40 CDRW
