Actually, the screen shot would look exactly the same if a human was flying the other aircraft.

to make a long story short:
Family, Job, and Hockey.

this is in no way a declaration that progress has stopped.

Family: Originally years back when my father came home from re-hab for his stroke, we thought he was at least 80%, turns out he's significantly less. So the amount of time I spend helping him around the house is significantly more than I expected.

Job: I have contracts to fulfill.

Hockey: if I don't spend time exerting energy and hitting people, I'd go bonkers dealing with my father.. (not his fault, strokes do that)

I'm also taking a few online classes for 3DS Max.

As opposed to late DX9 like we've been using in DCS forever?

Not gonna lie, the TW Beta testers had a field day with 12 F-4s in a Strike Mission, with An A-4 and F-100 here and there.

The issue was there wasn't a Player controlled MIG/Red Aircraft, and Introducing any Mods in the Gen 1 Engine caused MP Stability Issues in our testing..

I remember being able to fly MiGs with A-4 or F-4s cockpits, no mods needed, in MP. I don't know which patch level it was, but at one point you could fly any plane in the game in MP with a "close match" cockpit.

Anyway, I never had stability issues even with mods. I flew NATO Fighters extensively in MP.

that was a beta tester feature request I think it made it into the release patch then was removed shortly after.

It wasn't that short a period, I remember doing it for months and months. Unless the next patch broke a bunch of other things so I and the ones I flew with didn't update to it, which happened more than once.

Are you talking about Blizzard now?
Because I think you are... They only fairly recently confirmed that yeah, they're working on a new property, MMO, that will be effing awesome. And they won't say anything more than that for a couple years. (They been working on said property for some 5 years already, btw.)

Strangely enough, it seems Blizzard does fairly well in the consumer market... wink

WOW releases an XPAC every 2 years. They talk about what is coming frequently. If you are seriously comparing Bliz's customer relations to ED's than your bias is showing...

my benchmark for developers have been for many years A2A - a small group of people delivering time after time quality products, all this and at the same time, being attentive to their costumers and avoiding needless strife.

Yet they only make planes, not programs. If they were making FS themselves instead of just using a non-moving codebase for years, would it be the same story?

Not talking about WoW. wink

I'll reiterate since you didn't seem to understand the point: "Hey guys, we are working on an exciting new product. Talk to you in 2 years"

See that quote from you? That is EXACTLY what they've done, which is my point.
The project name of the game is Titan, in case you were unaware.

It is STANDARD for games to not be talked about through most of the development cycle, for tonnes of reasons. This means that people tend to have the wrong idea about how long it takes for products to make it from start of development to submission.
